Hitting the bell is "Vashatkara"
Following humming sound is "Omkara"

God created this world with these sounds.
To remember this we used to produce those sounds.

Ringing the bell is polite way to enter the temple. Before you enter someone Else's premises, you have to ask for permission, then you enter. Whether God listens or not is not the question. It is the courtesy to acknowledge before entering any where.

U ring the bell or not, GOD will listen to u.It's enough u got to trust on him.But it's better u knock the door before u enter a room.

I thought it was the Buddah that always rang the bell before they entered the temple, not Hindu. In the case of Buddah, it is letting Buddah know you are entering his house, just like a door bell, but much louder.

Chiming bells were believed to ward off demons. (Bell, book, and candle are the basic tools for an exorcism.) That's why in smaller churches the bells were hung in steeples directly over the entrance and rung as people enter.

Prior to the full development of the superstition, bells were only rung as a call to vespers or for services.

I agree with the first guy. I've received tickets for loud music in my vehicle but yet the church bell rings so loud it disrupts my studies at my University and they are allowed to do it.

The bell tells us to focus our mind. I don't think God cares one bit.
God hears everything whether you say it or not.
Does God respond? That I can do not know. I feel better for unburdening myself. The results are not mine.

Salvation is a marriage contract, offered by YHVH to Humans through scripture. You must take His name, and follow His rules. (who needs a disobedient "wife"?) I don't read anything about a bell.
