Some guy driving a truck seemed to think I was someone named Richard Head. Apparently it was someone who he had a sexual relationship with, considering what he was saying he wanted to do to me. He seemed a bit over excited, so I gave him the single-finger peace sign and suggested a nice warm place for him to go to.

Is COD trying to tell me something?

Historians say that the church of Rome changed the 7th day Sabbath(Saturday) around 321AD to Sunday(first day of the week). Who authorized them to make this biblical change? Why are so many Bible believing Protestant christians following in the foot steps of the doctrines of the church of Rome? Which is more important: allegiance to man or obedience to God's word?

Your thoughts........

Here is the awesome movie trailer for Expelled:
http://www.expelledthemovie.com/home.php

What do you think of the trailer?

Atheists are always asking for evidence...while evidence abounds.

One could drown dehydrated in crystal clear, filtered, water complaining that there is absolutely nothing to drink...
-

Meanwhile, scientists are persecuted for even suggesting the possibility that God created the universe and us. They lose their jobs, their tenure, are ostracized, proclaimed mentally ill, and slandered to no end...

-

(My recent “similar” question was deleted for a violation that said it wasn’t a question. And a BIG THANKS to whoever reported me – giving me an excuse to share this awesome movie trailer again! And my apologies for my contacts, who gave such excellent answers to my question.)

Here are more than enough questions:
1) Is the movie Expelled a Jewish version of Lee Strobel’s “Case For a Creator”?
2) What do you think of the movie trailer?
3) Atheists: Why do *some* of you gouge your eyes out so that you can’t see the sun...and then claim there is no visible proof for the existence of the sun?
4) Atheists: Would you be willing to see this movie? Read “Case For a Creator” by Lee Strobel? Read “Evidence That Demands a Verdict” by Josh McDowell? Read “Mere Christianity” by C.S. Lewis? That is, for YOURSELF?

do you think that severe illness such as anurisms, epilepsy, a.v.m., mentally retarded, and all the others are a result of generational curses (passed down through the generations) or iniquity..maybe the curse upon all creation due to the sin that entered in the Garden of Eden? What do you think? Could this be possible? If not, why do these things happen? Even birth defects in babies? How do you explain these awful things?

The flowing fur lined ritual robes get shortened sometimes, but the pointy hat remains on his head--when the christians stole his myth, did they tell their children it was a wilted dunce cap in order to chirstianize it?

i'm seeing a lot of bashing coming from atheists, why can't you accept that some of us have a different experience, and most of us are not harming you in any way?

Jeremiah 10:2-4
"Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not."

The concept of Zeus as a real, relevent diety probably seems pretty silly to most people reading this today.

If this can happen to Zeus, at what point will it happen to the current Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or any other god that is worshiped today?

Is it just a matter of state-sponsorship that makes one religion dominant and accepted, and sends another into oblivion?

I'm sure if you're an outspoken atheist, you must get a lot of emails from nutjobs saying ridiculous things about their religion and so forth.

By nutjobs, I don't mean EVERYONE, just the ones that make it clear that they're crazy.

When you get emails from these people, do you consider it worth the effort to explain why they are wrong, and give them a little "education"? Or do you just tell them to go kiss a duck?

Unfortunately, I usually do the latter, as I figure "crazy is just crazy" and having a rational discussion is pointless.

Has anyone here ever had a good conversation with one of these types?

The trolls are going to love that one, aren't they?

My wife works with the severely retarded. (I'm not supposed to use that word, but I think she would get even madder if I said severely special.) I have often wondered what prevision God has for them. What Jesus did was just cast the devil out of them, but is this modern age we have become too smart to believe in devils, so casting them out has become more difficult.

What also about children who die before they are able to make a decision? First Cor 7:14 says, "For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy." This is taken to mean that the children of a believing parent are saved until the age when they can make their own decision, but even that looks to me like speculation. Even if so, what of the children of unbelievers?

I think everyone will agree that if Jesus had existed, December 25th was not his birthday. And if you are going to give someone a present on their birthday, shouldn't it be the "birthday boy"? Say it's my birthday, and my wife gives the pool boy a new set of Pings. Doesn't make sense, unless she was fooling around. So, if you give someone else a Christmas present, instead of giving one to Jesus, are you fooling around? Only Wal-Mart could have devised such an evil plot. What do you think?

I have just passed my year and a day oath, but before I start my dedication I have a couple things that are still unclear (solitary practitioner by circumstance, not choice).

I have been casting a full ritual circle every sabat and esbat, and all the times in-between. What I want to know is if the full circle cast and quarter call is always needed. I have never done a ritual without these steps and, to date, have never had a problem with negative spirits or energy during, or as a result of, my work. But as a fulltime employee and full time artist, I have little time to go all out these days. I have read that some Wicca do not use a full circle when out doors because of the abundance of nature energy to protect you. Is this true for you as well? Why or why not?
Is it wise to attempt to simply keep negative energy out of the room in which I work by using spells, wind chimes(feng shui), and amulets? Are there other ways of keeping the energy clean?
Blessed be!
)O(
