There is a group in New Mexico, I belive that are allowed to partake of a hallucinatory plant, as part of their "religious" practices.

So create a religion that claims potsmoking is an integral part of the spiritual experience. Petition the government to allow Friday evenings designated as your "holy" day, and that during "mass", people are allowed two tokes of some fanstatic weed. Or until the person, feels the spirit move within them.

I am not joking, but I have heard about 420 churches in the Los Angeles county, where people go to church to smoke. I think it is more of a stoners party, but they do have marijuanna churches.

I believe that it is perfectly legal to smoke pot. It's just illegal to possess it, sell it, grow it, or obtain it.

Depends on which Indian tribe you belong to, I believe there is one tribe in which this is the case.
