No, I would not want a bible read by any political figure. True, I wouldn't spend money on a Bible in any media anyway, but if I was going to, it would not be "as read by" anyone.

I own several of my own Bibles. So the answer is No. These people are just people just because they would have handled a Bible would not make that Bible any more special than my own.

I would look for one by someone who actulay believes what he is reading. And then only if it were KJV. The KJV read by someone who has the right voice and understanding is a joy to listen to.
