I wish you could. Then Jesus would come back and bring judgment upon those who curse Him.

I was more interested in your answers, as expected they were a mixed bag..
There was no real way you could anticipate what they would be, and some were not too surprising were they?
I am atheist, I cant class myself as a 'free thinker' or even a 'truth seeker'!
On the subject of God and religion I am convinced I know the truth, so as far as those subjects are concerned , they are closed to me. After checking out all the history on these subjects I just 'know' I am right!
All atheists believe in religion , in as far as we know it exists, we know it is a force of evil rather than good.
Other subjects we could well have been brain washed about and we dont know it.
We could (and do ) differ on what is the 'truth' on many other subjects.
Just as an example to me evolution is a theory, not yet proved, I have no idea if the story is true or not, I do know that it is far more acceptable to me than the epic words:- "In the begining there was God"!
Other atheists may well think that evolution is the way we started and the way we are still going.
At least the likes of you and I could have a sensible debate on the subject without cluttering it up with religious BS!
Finally back to your question, the very first line was great, that is all you needed to ask really, without leaving your self open to loads of cr*p answers!
To my mind it has been answered, give it time , our present bunch of religions have not been going for very long, we will eventually have run through the complete spectrum , then we maybe will look upon each other as fellow humans and try to look after each other???

As ling as ther are God beliving people praying and working for God you probably wont be able to destroy religion. In your mind you probably think that seeing is believing or that everything you know has a scientific answer be a free-thinker.be a truth-finder.In all things you will find a difference of opinion even in science. Contraditions are a way of life just because you and a few others dont believe in Christ doesnt mean we all have to. Live your life the way you please and Ill live mine the way I plesa but guess what.....I feel like im a free thinker and a truth finder also but my opinion differs than yours so should I try to abolish you and the way you think and live should I bash you and others or would you think better of me if I left you alone. If you dont belong to an organized religion and you dont understand enirely whats going on there then drop it Im sure in your free-thinking self you could find something MORE consructive to do than trying to bring Communism here.

As soon as I see some real free thinkers and so real truth seekers sing me up
For now it seems most who claim to be either one of those are in fact neither when it comes down to it.
A Free thinker is not threatened by religion nor is a real truth seeker
while you are at it dig up some who really understand Logic and Science as much as the claim and not repeat things they heard on the Discovery Channel
If you can find any of these types of people sign me up
Also any one putting their hopes in public education is is already lost.
We are horrible at educating kids in America and that is not due to any religion its a product of laziness

You cannot destroy the power of God. You will always be controlled by some outside force, whether you follow the Holy Spirit, or are being manipulated by an evil spirit, either way....you cannot destroy them. There is coming a day when such "free-thinkers" as yourself will rise up and declare yourself the "god of your own life" but the real term for you is anti-Christ...you are of your father, the devil...and every knee will bow at the judgment and every man will be judged according to his decisions and his works. There will not be even one secret thing that will not be made known to all. Are you looking forward to that?

Telling an unabridged version of Church History to every person in the world would be a start.

Time will take care of that. Caution: Your question implies that atheists get ORGANIZED to "fight and abolish organized religion." That, to me, would be counterproductive. Count me out.

Maybe you should figure out why it is so important to you. Does it matter if someone else doesn't believe what you believe? Maybe you could start a crusade to convert people to your way of thinking... Oh, wait... then you would be just like them.
Live and let live.

I'll go with "Education and Time" also. It is obvious that insults and mocking is useless in any debate. Also, working towards reasonable goals, like keeping moral issues out of the law and myths out of science are a good start.

For a person who thinks that religion is evil for imposing their point of view on others, don't you think you are just as intolerant for trying to impose your view on all others?
