God doesn't tempt ANYONE, as seen here:

James 1:12-14 (New International Version)

12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

13When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.

No, consult the classical story of how God, man, and evil inter-relate, the story of the Garden of Eden and the Serpent.
The basic insight to the story is, God is good and do you believe that ? If you don't believe it, you are open to all sorts of envy-induced bs, and if you do believe you hang in and hold on.

No. The devil uses evil to tempt man, and if you resist the temptation then God will praise you.

The Bible in no way contradicts itself. James a million:13-God would not tempt all and sundry and he can not be tempted Matthew 4:a million says Jesus tempted via,not God, however the devil.Verse 8 tells of a manner devil tried to tempt Jesus. What are you perplexed approximately? Are you feeling that because of the fact the Spirit led him interior the barren area to be tempted via devil skill that God became tempting him? that's not so. God allowed this so Jesus could desire to teach he could desire to shield his integrity whilst being tempted via devil. Like Adam, Jesus became a appropriate human, yet unlike Adam, Jesus resisted all efforts of devil to get him to offer up serving God. Jesus got here to earth and went via all he did to teach us we imperfect human beings can stand up to devil's temptations.

Even if there WAS a god, would man really need any help finding evil?

He doesn't use it, that would suppose intentional use and possession of evil. He simply allows evil/Satan to make his own attempts at tempting us and ultimately that comes down to our own actions.

Yes.

Is god omnipotent?

Can god create something that He cannot Himself turn asunder?

Did god create everything (excepting god, of course)?

Therefore, god can destroy Satan and prevent "him" from tempting others astray from their true calling. God not only uses evil, god IS evil!

Sort of like when he asked Abraham to kill his son? That's pretty evil to have God tell you to kill your own child, only to send an angel to stop you the moment before the ax hits his throat.
