I've been attending this church that my uncle has introduced me for the last five months. the church has asked me to do bible study with the high school students. I would love to do it, and disciple them..
However, the English worship serice at that church seems dry. People are standing there, not really worshipping passionately. As of now the church is not really into Missions, and they seem more interested into fellowships... I dont see anyone at that church like my spiritual mentors or like life time accountability partners.. If I love to serve, teach but the worship serice seems dry, not too organized, and people at the church is not really my spirtual help, do I move to different church where people can make difference in my life? I know that It is not a good reason cuz of people but the englishi worship sevice makes me feel that way.. in the other hand, I see the need of high school students at the church.. do I move church? what do you think?

And I swallowed what they taught. It was rigid time of blind faith and doctrine. From an early age I knew I was different somehow, but I couldn't put it into words. I followed what was expected of me, and performed for the admiring crowd. That is until I couldn't do it anymore and had to follow my heart. I did so with trepidation caused from years of indoctrination, yet as I stepped forward into life I never abandoned my faith. I couldn't and can't. What I don't understand is why my faith has abandoned me? Rather, why has the teachers of doctrine made me an example when I live an examplory life?

I sincerely believe that G-d put me here not to test me, but rather to test others on how well they treat their fellow man.

Any mature thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I don't know much about it really. I know that you are supposed to give 10%. These are probably bad questions, but:

I don't have a job, I am underage, so does it apply to me?
When would you give it? Everyweek? Everymonth?

thank you so much. God bless.

In God's Currency.. Grace is much more valuable. I will be surprised to see more than one answer with any kind of even beginners understanding of the term "Grace" as it applies to God. This applies especially to Christians.

Yes I am a very strong Catholic of seventeen years and there is so much I don't know. But I do know that threats never solved anything. In fact they only create more resentment and hatred towards you and what you believe in. Why do so many christians say this? (note: I do realize that there are lots that don't, but I have heard about a lot that do)
Is it because they are not strong in their faith and can offer not better argument to defend what they believe in? I would never answer this way, in fact I leave the whole matter alone. We are called to pray for them, what more is needed? If you truly believe then you know the power of pray.

I also do not bash other religions, some of my best friends are pagan, wiccian, jewish, or atheist. Should I despise them simply because of what they believe? No! We are called to hate the sin, but LOVE the sinner.

Remember that, even if you just think of me as some crazy Catholic that hasn't a clue.

But if he IS real, then maybe he won't swallow my cruise ship whole.

I don't know about you, but I have about HAD it with people preaching their beliefs on others....claiming to be people of God....not everyone, just the extremist that really aren't living the laws of God...after all "Thou Shall Not Judge! " is a commandment the last time I checked.

This is an example first read the question, and find the response from "Servant Leader" then go to his profile and read his description...correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't someone that is called by "God" be accepting of someone like the DALAI LAMA? A man who doesn't preach, but rather lives by example, teaching peace, and other wonderful virtues to the world?

here's the link: let me know what you think....

"Think of me/them" and "Pray for me/them".

Why is one more or less productive over the other? What benefits do they have?

I know that people say that Satan tempts us with drugs, sex, etc. but this is not specific enough as to how he tempts us.

He could use other people to tempt us, but how does Satan tempt them? Ultimately, it would originate with Satan putting ideas in people's heads himself in order to tempt them.

That's what I think.

How else could the tempting be originated from?

We are tempted by drugs. Where do drugs ultimately come from? The people who grow them. Go back in history. An example would be the very FIRST people in world history to use cocaine NOT to kill pain, but for recreational use.

If one of the weapons Satan uses is drugs, then clearly he telepathically tempted those first people by implanting an idea in their head that maybe they should use it for fun.

What do you think?

There was a question posted, about 20 minutes ago. A girl asked what would be the most painless way to kill herself.

Could be a troll question, could also be very, very serious. Within 20 minutes the question was reported and deleted.

Are we getting so scared of trolls, that we're ignoring the opportunity of helping another human being? Are we assuming now that everybody is a troll? Is fear getting the best of us?

God has came back as an Atheist? And you are on here treating them like I see a lot of you doing...

I'm just saying I see a lot of hate from Christians towards non-believers and what if God comes back and disguises as one of them and here you are treating them like they are below you for what they believe. Never mind how they treat you that's not important, you shouldn't have revenge in your heart if you are Christian you should learn to accept everyone for who they are. Don't you agree?
