My fellow Christians, I've never understood how many of you believe that God is love (1st John 4:8), yet still maintain that He will torture the vast majority of humanity for an eternal duration of time for holding incorrect beliefs. It just doesn't make any sense to me at all. Could someone please enlighten me?

Is accepting two people of the same sex engaging in a sex act as "normal" showing tolerance or is it a gradual decline of our civilization? If you say tolerance, why shouldn't other sexual deviances that are also viewed by the majority of mankind as evil also be tolerated, such as adultery, incest, polygamy?

Does anybody know of any extra-biblical writings about Jesus from people that knew him firsthand while he was supposedly still on the earth? All the writings I have ever read were nothing more than hearsay in my opinion since the writers werent even alive when Jesus was. It would seem very strange for the history books to be completely blank regarding Jesus if he truly existed and was God. Any help?

seriously how?

It just doesn't work, unless you believe that big fat unsourced book that is at least 1500 years old, with parts dating 5000 years old.

Scientific discovery is based on questions, research, discovery, investigation, it always cites its sources, it always references work done by previous scientists. And to be honest with you, a source that is like 1500 years old can't be trusted as much one that is 5 years old.

Sorry bibleistas but the quran has you beat on this, at least muslims have aided science, a lot. Not one i have ever spoken to has said they believe in creationism, sure they believe that allah created the universe, but believe also in evolution as a true and elegant way to describe life on our planet.
