Santa Baby, slip a sable under the tree, For me.
been an awful good girl, Santa baby,
so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Santa baby, a 54 convertible too,
Light blue.
I'll wait up for you dear,
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Think of all the fun I've missed,
Think of all the fellas that I haven't kissed,
Next year I could be just as good,
If you'll check off my Christmas list,

I think I might be slowly losing my faith in Christ... I'm 16, and I've always been a believer of sorts, until now. I don't know... I don't want to lose my faith. Has anyone else felt the same way? I know this is bad, but for some reason faith doesn't seem important anymore, and I don't want to feel that way...
What should I do?
Thanks. =)

First of all, Satanism isn't screaming, "666! The devil ruelz! Yeah!!" It's saying, quite calmly: "Lucifer is a fallen angel working at the gates of Hell. We hope he may regain entry to Heaven after he has repaid his sins." So why is this so bad? BTW, Evolution = <3

Now, Christianity.
If you disrespect your elders, you go to Hell. If you steal, covet, commit adultery, etc... you go to HELL. You must pray. You must live sin-free. You must redeem yourself of your sins. Also, there is no such thing as Evolution, Science, or Magic. EVERYTHING is religion. God makes the sun shine! Because, of course, if the sun is science, I have to admit that evolution and science are REAL.

I'm sorry, Christianity / whatever that is just seems like a Brainwashing more than a Personal choice. I call Christianity "being Informationally Ignorant".

Your opinions? (No -flaming-!!)

strange, I thought I read in their Bible that the Church should be ONE...

I think this is the ultimate question in religion....

how do some people who believe in one deity observe their "presence"

while people who believe in another deity observe their "presence"

If you went back to the time when the puritans landed on plymouth rock, with an ipod, or a cell phone (assuming you brought the infrastructure, too)... do you think they would percieve it as "scientific" or just call it a shiny witchcraft stone, and burn you at the stake, and destroy the "stone possesed by loud demons"

ultimately: Does your religion affect your perception of reality?

I saw the silliest show on Discovery the other day completely dedicated to the world ending on this day...

I can't wait till that day comes around and they realize that the earth's poles have in fact NOT shifted.....

or of course, there is the possibility that the world will end, in which case those certain individuals won't exactly be able to gloat since mankind will cease to exist....so its a win-win situation for me I guess

let the countdown begin......*exciting*

What is the purpose of prayer? When someone prays for something, and it's not granted, then that person usually says "well, it's God's wishes" or "It's God's will" or "God has a purpose" .... seriously? If that's the case, then why pray to begin with? It God has a purpose or a will, then your prayer won't really matter anyways? God is infallible and all-knowing, so what's the point? Do people actually think that God, the all-knowing creator of the heavens and the universe, the alpha and omega, listens to us and his actions and future actions might be affected by our prayers or "wishes" ?

Really, I'm quite religious, but I can't bend my mind around prayer. Can someone intelligent provide a decent answer? Please, none of those "just because" answers or heavily argued interruptations from the Bible. Thanks!

Regardless if you believe in God, a Buddha or a gallon of milk. Religion is suppose to teach moral's, right from wrong, (There is good and bad, regardless) and with this you can make wholesome and right choices in life. Evil consumes itself. That is the point of it.

Muslim? Hindu Buddhist> etc...
For as long as I'm here I read so many posts from Atheists, not only saying GOD does not exsist , but how religion poisons everything, as well as GOD being wrathful, condemning etc...
Bible is a bunch of fairytales etc...

So what would it matter to you if GOD exsits or not?
How would your life change it you knew a GOD created the world?

Just because religious folks find homosexuality uncomfortable doesn't make it wrong. Just because people misinterpret the Bible and the so-called words of God to their own ends, for their own conservative agendas, to make homosexuality seem anathema, doesn't make it wrong.

The "hardware" of the human body isn't important, what dwells within our mortal shell is far more so.

Love people for WHO they are, not what sexual orientation they happen to be. Who you are is more important than what gender you enjoy having sex with.

I was raised catholic and well I have never liked going to church, thought it was boring and sooo quiet, full of .... don't know... like now we pray "in silent", now we do this, now we do that, having to confess my sins to another human and him having me pray 10 Hail Mary, etc. I think is too much, why cant we just pray to god in our own words not in the same repetative way all the time. Dont know if I am wrong, but I went to a christian church and they dont really like "pray" the say a story about God or something that has to do with God and people sometimes like "participate" like saying "praise the lord" or whatever but they are not all quiet.

Well my point is that I am trying to find a church where I feel comfortable and dont know if I am wrong for thinking that way, I only been to a christian church once, so my question I guess is if you are christian what would you tell me to believe your church is the one for me and I ask the same to people from other religions.

I just heard some old hag on her cell phone in the restroom talking to someone about a girl named Lynn who keeps making one bad decision after another because she must "like being miserable". I find it hard to believe anyone would LIKE being miserable. So, what are your thoughts?

hey guys
well im christian. but i've noticed that a lot of atheists seem to think that christians always try to force their religon on others. some of them do, of course.
but what about you? i have been reading some of your answers and you seem bitter, spiteful and egotistical for the majority. you treat us like we're idiots to believe and continuously tell us that you don't believe in fairy tales, neither should we, and that there is overwhelming evidence for this or that.
is that not a little hypocritical, guys?
i feel no hate or dislike toward anybody, atheist, christian, budhhist--whatever. i respect your religion even though i do not follow it.
but why do most of you seem so adamant and insistent and, pardon me--rude??

Thought this would be fun.

Now, which religion has the coolest members (just a heads up you can't say atheists and you can't say nobody)?

Which one is the most believable to you (Once again, you can't say atheists and you can't say 'none of them')

Long time used tree trimmer came to my house to do work. He's a charismatic preacher. He asked if he & wife could pray for me. I said, sure. In praying,he said there was something in my past that I was ashamed of and someone was blackmailing and intimidating me because of it and asked the Lord to erase the guilty from my soul and not allow the intimidation any more. He was right. I am an alcoholic and caused pain to my family. Haven't had a drink in 7 years. Youngest son can't forgive me, but won't tell me exactly how I wounded him. Mentally, I believed I had to put up with all of his BS, otherwise I wouldn't get to see my grandson. Been in therapy (long before preacher thing), started standing up to my son, and still get to see grandson. The preacher said God told him to approach me. He said he's known for a long time. What do you think? He does tree work for me, but doesn't know me otherwise.

Read something today, that I believe is "food for thought"

To one with faith, no explanation is necessary.
To on without faith, no explanation is possible.

Have you ever of the saying "attraction, rather than promotion"?
This quote made me think of that saying.
Reason being, do you notice how you lose a person's attention or even run the risk of annoying them, when you try to promote your faith?
I understand completely why us as Believers want to spread the "Good News"
But doing that does it ever concern you that sometimes your doing more harm than good?
That sometimes we get in the way of allowing God to do only what God can do?

Please believe, I am NOT trying to cause a stir.
For I am so grateful for the people in my life who inspire me to change, by "testifying" about their journey(s).

Blessings to all and thanks in advance.

Director of the Center for Scientific Creation, Dr. Walt Brown challenges many of the accepted theories, while offering scientific evidence backing a global flood and a young earth. He says evolutionists are unwilling to debate his scientific findings.

Brown believes there should be no contradictions between faith and science because the Creator of the universe is also the God of science.
A West Point graduate and tenured associate professor at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Dr. Brown taught physics, mathematics and computer science at the college level. He served as head of science and technology studies at the Air War College and was a National Science Foundation fellow
