What's the comparison here? Atheists state that humans made up the Christian God, just like Santa Claus. Yet, it's pretty easy to prove that Santa Claus doesn't exist. However, there is no evidence yet that has disproved the existance of God.

If you ask 1000 adults if they believe in Santa Claus and then ask the same people if they believe in God, where do you think the most yes answers will be?

It seems as though those people who "made up" God were pretty smart people, since they knew which charcteristics to give God that made Him unable to be disproved.

Greek Gods, like Zues, the supposed God of lightning storms, is easily disproved once you study weather. The Christian God, however, is still going strong, more than 6000 years after the first book of the Bible was written.

Thoughts about this?

I want to get this trinity tattoo on me, where would be best to put it? on the back of my neck? or on my foot? Christians, do you think its ok to get religious tattoos? I want to get all my tattoos about God and Jesus. Is this the right trinity symbol? Or should it have a circle around it?

How can you explain the verses in the bible that clearly define who the God of the bible is?

The bible through close examination and from the stand point of an opened mind person, explains God as being three beings in one.

God made us in his image. Just as God is three beings in one so are we. We are body, soul and spirit.

Have you ever said to yourself. I will not over eat today, but then you over eat? That is because your mind is in conflict with your body. What if your mind and body were not in conflict?

God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit are not in conflict with each other. They are all of one accord, doing as they should as God the father directs

*** Please, only answers from people who believe and study the bible!... I don't want a debate on Christianity!... Any offensive and/or unproductive remarks will be reported!**"

There are many Psalms where David prays "Lord destroy my enemies" or the the one's who persecute me...

But would it be wrong for me to pray that.. I do have a bonefide real enemy in my life. This person is outright attacking every part of my life. I've tried to reconcile, apologized if I offended. And I prayed God would work in the situation.. I've even prayed for God to bless my enemies.... But now it's getting to the point where this person is ruining my life and there's nothing I can really do to stop it.. It's serious...

I have to say I'm so very tired of what this person continues to do to me and I'm wondering if I can pray like David and ask God to destroy my enemies.
Or would this be wrong in God's eyes?

Don't you see?

Israel acknowledging a Palestine State (little horn) for peace.

Israel's main concern, security (safety).

Dan 8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

We FEEL good when we do good, to help others, charity etc...

Is there something charitable we can do that will help others but not have the rewards of us "feeling good about ourselves"

This reminds me of the episode of 'Friends' where Phoebe searches for this act of selfless kindness as well(anyone remember when they were at the telethon?)_

The closest I can think of is the pain of giving birth, but once that's over we feel a sense of fulfillment so that's an emotional benefit....I'm certain there has to be but my mind is drawing a blank

Please don't misinterpret this question to mean giving to charity is selfish in the sense no one should do it, as that is utterly ludicrous, i hope everyone understands that is not the gist of the question. thanks

Hello, My family is Muslim and i was born Muslim too, but i converted to Christian, since i live in Muslim country, i cannot communicate with Christians, i tried once, but the Pastor and Bishop near my area were scared and they refused to baptise me, i am 18 but i was converted when i was 13, i have no friends, so i never went to places far from my house alone, so i donnot know the places. So, my question is, Is it really very important to baptise; would Jesus accept without baptism, I dont see noway of me getting baptised and i am afraid, i am a little bit of exposed and have recieved warnings from people because i dont go to mosque.

Hi,
Is Evolution a proven theory which makes it factual or just a theory??? I would like to know this, because I am taking Biology right now. It seems that the information being presented during the lectures along with the notes I've taken seem to indicate that Evolution is indeed factual. For example, during the lab for this topic we are introduced with million year old fossils and something i don't understand (mitochondrial dna or genetic dna--something along those lines) Could somebody please clarify for me some on this topic? Is Evolution for real b/c wouldn't that debunk and discredit the core of Christian's beliefs?

Should be mandated to perform them?

Do you think that the Bible would have to be changed to accomodate a Holy Union Blessing for a Same Sex couple?

Do you think we would have to change the traditional name for Husband and Wife to be gender nuetral Spouse and Spouse?

Who do you think would have more of a right in a adoption if a Same Sex couple and a Male/female married couple wanted to adopt the same child?

Lastly do you think a Successful. Loving Stable Man and Woman (mother and Father) are the ideal in rasing a child?

I see the way the men here gawk at me! It's sick! I wear good pants, not tight ones! I don't need this in my life, how about you? NO!!!!!!!

The women walk around, doing cartwheels and trying to get me away from the book! They even make phone calls to each other, trying to distract me. Why?

I went to that baseball game in October. Girls walk around tempting me, and I have to leave by the 3rd inning every time! Last time I didn't go home for a week!!!!!!!

I sinned in Panama from 1985 to 1987, then 1992 to 1993, except for November. I'm not doing that again, not just for YOU!

Pretty boy Jack, I'm not looking at you today! What are you wearing???? NO!!!!!!!!!

With all the accusations that fly in this forum --mainly stating that people do good works simply to gain a Heavenly reward-- not one person who answered my last question about random acts of kindness stated that as a reason. Check out the answers, if you'd like.

Most people stated their reasons as a genuine desire to help, or as a means of feeling good about themselves. Quite admirable, I might add.

I'm not going anywhere with this, I just wanted to point it out. To make it legal, does this give anyone else a sense of hope for humanity?

Hugs to all.
