She has been unfairly treated and they are making hostilities towards muslims more likely and also the amount of people wanting to help Sudan will start to fall to the state where people will stop sending aid altogether

From a BBC news article (URL below)
"The Muslim Council of Britain reacted angrily to the news, saying it was "appalled" and demanded Mrs Gibbons' immediate release.
"This is a disgraceful decision and defies common sense. There was clearly no intention on the part of the teacher to deliberately insult the Islamic faith," said Secretary-General Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, in a strongly-worded statement. "
"Dilwar Hussain, of the Islamic Foundation, has no problem with a teddy bear called Muhammad. For some years, the Islamic Society sold a soft toy made for British Muslim children named Adam the Prayer Bear. "Adam is also the name of a Prophet." "
But as an atheist, it looks like I'd be in trouble in the Sudan.
I'm not inclined to respect religions, only people.

In my opinion, I don't think she was insulting Islam. I think it was all just a big misunderstanding and a fuss over nothing. If prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was alive today, I doubt he would have been offended. I don't think she deserves 40 lashes.
Anyway, I wish people would stop think that all Muslims agree that she deserves 40 lashes. I think most Muslims would agree that she doesn't deserve 40 lashes. Anyway, if this was 20 years ago, no one would have known about this, pretty much how a lot of Americans would not have known anything about Islam.

There is a bloke down my street called Mohammed, how do they know the teddy wasn't named after him?
In any case, what about all those parents that name their children 'Mohammed', why is that not insulting to Islam, especially as they could grow up to be criminals, unlike a teddy bear which is completely harmless?
The whole thing is crazy and would be laughable if there was not a poor, innocent, woman being victimised by such stupidity.

The charge against that teacher, I understand, is blasphemy.
How can Muslims say they don't worship Muhammad?

Who is being insulted,,,men or GOD?
If it is men, leave it alone.
If it is God, leave it alone.
God will deal with them in his own way.
