The Bible says to love your neighbor as yourself, what are good godly ways to love and take care of yourself?

What is the cure for a low self esteem? What are good and godly ways to be comfortable with yourself and love who you are?

I have been struggling with depression and am getting help. Please no sarcastic answers thank you and God bless you:)

I asked a question about Mary suffering in childbirth and the Catholics overwhelmingly said she did not. However Revelation 12:1 is often used to show Mary is queen of Heaven. If she did not suffer in childbirth than Revelation 12:1 cannot refer to her as the woman in this verse is suffering the pain of child birth. So if Catholics say she did not suffer the pangs of child birth how can this verse refer to her?

Revelation 12:1 And a great sign was seen in the heavens, a woman having been clothed with the sun, and the moon was underneath her feet; and on her head a crown of twelve stars;
Rev 12:2 and having a babe in womb. She cries, being in labor, and having been distressed to bear.

I'll bet that the bible is really a tall tale from long ago that people eventually began to beleive. What if it was like Harry Potter and there are people that began to dree like him and then beleived they were him and somehow got people to beleive that it could very well be true. What if it's just an old bedtime story.

And besides that what real proof do we have that these people existed? Adam and Eve, what proves that they were really alive?

I see this term said alot. So, what is a hateful Christian? I personally feel that nonchristians feel it is a Christian who disagrees with the status quo (at least in American culture) My personal experience:

I am prolife AND pro gay marriage. So I will be called a hateful person because I am prolife and "dont want women to have control over their bodies" and I am a great and accepting Christian because I am pro gay marriage. I dont believe I am hateful one bit because I hold beliefs that arent that popluar...I just feel; Hey, I have another opinion to bring to the table. Im not protesting or attacking people, Im not rude or hateful in my actions or speech. So what do you all think? Fellow Christians, do you feel this conundrum as well? No bashing guys, please, and thanks :)

You Christians like to claim that God only judges us according to our knowledge.

You say that God will not condemn a retarded kid since he can't comprehend the Bible.
You say that local tribal people never exposed to the Bible will not be condemned since they will only be judged according to their knowledge.

Simply put: God will not judge people that have not recieved adequate information to believe in Him whether it be retarded, tribal, or even normal people.

Why would people not believe? Because of stubborness or inadequate input?

If i received adequate facts and reasons to believe in God I couldn't lie to myself that I don't believe.

I don't beleive, as well as all the other atheists, because I haven't recieved any information or reasons enough to believe in Him.

Yes! I know Him and I have heard Him and I read the Bible and I have been to church but I just don't believe because I just simply "DON'T".

Scientifically speaking to little information is given.

I am a good person. I do not drink or do drugs. I donate to churches and other charitable organizations to help the needy. I believe in a Creator and other, lesser spirits that assist, not unlike the Catholic Saints. I have dedicated my life to helping those who can not help or advocate for themselves (animals). I do not prescibe to the Bible or any organized religion that I have found thus far. Am I going to Hell? Why or why not.

sin is neutral it cant be responsible for anything. What is there to hate? I prefer to hate the sinner. But only if the sin is a criminal act. If it is some silly religious nonsense like blasphemy then go ahead and hate the sin. What is your thoughts on the subject.

I need help...the speech is due in like 16 hours and I've been sick out of my mind the past week and haven't started. It's graded by the students in the class so it needs to be interesting. How does Confucianism affect daily life...politics, war strategies, household make up, education, etc.
