I've read Brother Lawrence's book the practice of the prescence of God. Great book. i've also read the game with minutes and have tried to do the things in both of those books. i havn't been able to do it though. It is difficult. is there any advice, besides trying to do better at it each day and grow in intimacy with him?

I have read the book too. I loved it. I suggest taking each minute as it comes. When doing any and all of your daily tasks say to yourself inwardly," I am doing this for God." Offer up each small task, every trial, no matter how trivial for Him. It will help you to remember you are ALWAYS in His Presence.

I read the Br. Lawrence book and love it. I don't know about the other one. The title says it all, it is a "Practice". This is something that you cultivate in your heart much like growing a garden. Day by day turn your attention to Him. Make yourself aware of Him and acknowledge His nearness. Keep watering that garden and give it plenty of Son light.

I've never read those books but the best way to get closer to God is to mainly read your bible. God speaks to most people when they are just focused on HIm and His Word. Also when worshipping, I know a lot of people worship to really loud music which is great but God can''t really speak to you like that. So just spend some quiet time with God and read your bible daily and soon enough you and God will be best buds. =]

I don't think spiritual mastery is something gained overnight.
Walk in the faith that God gives you.
Continue to read the testimonies of God's great saints.

I pray on my knees. There is a more power when you humble yourself before the Lord.

If you are seeking the presence of God, draw close to him and he will draw close to you. Remember, he inhabits the praise of his people....don't forget to Thank him and praise him......if you seek him with a sincere heart,,,you will feel his presence.
