Wow, I don't ever even venture into this area of Y!A but you're on my contacts so I moseyed over here to see what was going on....
Want my opinion? The Bible and the Christian belief system don't offer my dogs any place in Heaven. Add that to the fact that by their same belief system, none of my friends are going to Heaven either. For that matter, none of the fun people I can think of will be in Heaven.
So if any of that stuff is the least bit true, guess I'll be rotting in Hell....but by golly I'll be partying with all my friends, and I bet you anything there's not any "no dogs allowed" signs. If you've ever seen the South Park movie, Satan's a pretty talented singer and a really sensitive gay man. I don't think it'd be that bad at all, just a little hot....and I'm from Florida so I'm used to it. You're welcome to join us. :)
Personally I prefer the idea of the "Rainbow Bridge" if there's an afterlife, at all.....all that mess about fire, brimstone, hell and damnation is just a societal manifestation of the need to keep the populace "under control"....kind of like an adult version of "If you're a bad little girl, you'll get no presents and coal in your stockings".....to each his own but I don't lose any sleep over it.

If you know you are a religious person at heart, then ONLY YOU can really answer that question properly, but I'll try to help you out. The world isn't split into Bible readers and bad people! Sorry if I'm touching a sensitive nerve here, but if you know someone who's passed away, don't you like to think of them carrying on happily in heaven rather than... the alternative? I'm almost fairly certain you're not going to hell. As long as you don't kill anyone or do anything against the word of the Bible (e.g. Wikka, Occult practices etc..) then you ought to be fine.

If by "hell" you mean "hellfire," then absolutely, positively, without a shadow of a doubt, you will NOT go there. Why? Because there is no such thing as a literal hellfire! There have been discussions on Y!A about this, and there are probably many reading my answer who are right now condemning me to hell, but here is the simple, uncomplicated truth: The loving, wise, all-powerful, and just Creator, Jehovah God, would NEVER EVEN CONSIDER tormenting someone in a hellfire forever (nor would Jesus Christ). Only a fiendish mind, such as that of Satan the Devil, could conceive such a idea as that. And look how successful he has been in getting people to believe it: Catholics, Protestants, Buddhists, Hindus...all the way back to the ancient Babylonians. They all believe in hellfire. Happily there are many within these denominations who have never been able to understand how a loving God could ever do this. yes, the reasons are multiple. One, the Word says you must be born of the water and the spirit or you cannot enter Heaven. Two, it also says forsake not the assembly(going to church). Donating to just any church is not a good idea. They may be helping the hungry. But are they preaching the Truth found in God's Word? It matters!Their is only one God/creator. Our God/saviour, Jesus Christ. Their aren't any "real" saints found in the catholic church. Where are they found in the Bible? What made them a saint? Does the Bible advocate making people saints? NO!! To go to Heaven. You must follow the plan of salvation in the Bible. See Acts 2:38-9. It says we must repent of our sins, be baptized in Jesus' name(specifically), and receive the Holy Ghost. It's so easy! Just reach out and grab what God has ready to give you!!!!

Well, no one on here could ever tell you that you are going to hell. That would be us judging you and as a Christian that is not Christian like.
We are taught~You go to Heaven by believing in our King! Our Saviour! Our Messiah~Jesus Christ the one and only.
You must simple believe! It is through Faith~not good works~not charitable organizations~not by prescribing to the Bible or by organized Religion.
It is faith that drives you to lead a beautiful Christian life because through prayer, worship, and reading the bible we know how God wants us to live. It sure sounds like you have the spirit of God, it sounds like you believe. I'm confused as to what your lesser spirits that assist you~your're referring to. Are you witnessing angels and disciples in your mist?
The Trinity is comprised of the Father, son and Holy Spirit.
Our brains were made by our heavenly father, our souls, our being. We are truly amazing. You make the call.
If you believe, you are saved!!

To me it sounds like you are working towards your salvation. Why? You look after your physical, spiritual and mental health. You help nurture others, also. Love is the fundamental thing beneath all of God's laws. If you've got that right, you're definitely heading in the right direction.
I agree with you about your concepts of a Creator and spirits who assist. What you said about children who die without baptism... that is also in line with my beliefs.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka LDS/Mormons). Modern revelation tells us that people are rewarded according to their works (as well as their faith) ... meaning that there are degrees of reward, according to how you have lived and what your desires and sincere intentions were.
See http://www.mormon.org/mormonorg/eng/basic-beliefs/heavenly-father-s-plan-of-salvation/heaven-and-eternal-reward
According to the description in the link above, almost everyone merits a degree of "Heaven" (ie a state of blessedness more blessed than this life we currently live). You would be included amongst those people, no matter what you did right or wrong in this life (provided you never did "the unpardonable sin" which very few people are capable of doing... I doubt you would ever be capable of it).
What you "receive" as an eternal reward really is sum of what you have become, through your thoughts and your deeds, step by step, and little by little.
See Alma 34:32-34 - http://scriptures.lds.org/en/alma/34/32-34#32
And 2 Nephi 28:30 - http://scriptures.lds.org/en/2_ne/28/30#30
LDS scripture has revealed that
(1) all children who die before the age of accountability automatically go to the highest degree of heaven, with God - See Moroni 8:8 - http://scriptures.lds.org/en/moro/8/8-22#8
(2) every person who ever lived on earth will be given a chance to accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ... to understand his Atonement and to exercise faith in the work of salvation that the Saviour performed for us all... http://www.mormon.org/mormonorg/eng/basic-beliefs/membership-in-the-church/temples-and-family-history
Living true to your conscience is important. God will not condemn the person who does this, no matter what their religion is.
See Articles of Faith 1:11 - http://scriptures.lds.org/en/a_of_f/1/11#11
This is just basic stuff, but if you would like to know more you can contact missionaries through the website - http://www.mormon.org - or just look up the name of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in your local phone directory.
God bless you in your heart and in your life for the kindness and love that you have sought to give to those in need. That is what life is all about.

Honestly, all this afterlife mumbo jumbo is some of the most patently absurd ravings and fear-mongering you could ever hope to find.
One of the major reasons I come on this site is because it's so amazing to me that people buy into this garbage.
That said, you aren't going to hell. No such place. Nothing to send you there. There's nothing but the void waiting for all of us, and guess what: You've already not existed before, so it's not like anything new is gonna happen.

Why in the WORLD would you ask us? You don't even know who anyone is. You don't know who I am. So why should you give what I say or what anyone else says a second thought? But, I want to give you my opinion anyway...
God knows your heart, and it does not matter what anyone else thinks of you. Love is shown in different ways with different people, and it is impossible for humans to interpret. God sees straight through you, and into the deepest secrets of your heart.
Talk with Him, please. Have a conversation with Him tonight... do you feel as though He is your Friend, and do you want to spend eternity with Him? No human being has the right to judge you, my friend, so please, don't even offer that opportunity as you are with this question. God is the One, and the only One, who will judge us. If you ask Him, He'll give you a good look at what lies inside your heart and your soul. So ask Him... Are you going to Hell?

Jehovah God doesn't burn anyone in a fiery place of torment.
Hell is simply the common grave of mankind. Even Jesus went to "hell".
So yes, if you die before the end of this System of things, you will go to hell- a sleep-like condition where everyone goes before being resurrected.
Will you be resurrected? That is up to God and God alone.
But at our meeting, yesterday, the Speaker gave a great talk about the purpose of life.
The purpose of life is to glory God and doing the work he wants us to do which ultimately enriches our lives now and can lead to everlasting life.
He gave 5 "requirements".
1- take in accurate knowledge of God and Jesus in harmony with John 17:3
2- repent in harmony with Acts 3:19 We must be TRULY sorry for past wrongs
3- conversion... in line with Acts 26:20 Which means we have to make adjustments in our life to be in harmony with what the Bible teaches... which also means listening to Hebrews 10:25 which tells us to meet with fellow believers (going to "church")
4- After we take in accurate knowledge and turn our life around from willful sin, we follow Matthew 16:24 and make a dedication to God that we will place him first in our life and do what he purposes.
5- Finally, in harmony with 1 Peter 3:21 we are baptized.
The excellent point was: Many people wonder if they can study the Bible whenever they want to, be a good person, lead a good life, dedicate their life to God but hold off on baptism and still expect everlasting life.
He gave the illustration of a man driving down a road and seeing a bunch of people bringing in a harvest. They were having a good time so he decided to help. He worked at it whenever he wanted until the work was done. Now, all these people go speak to the owner for their reward. Should the man expect to be paid with everyone else? No. He never spoke to the owner of the field before he chipped in. He didn't have a contract for any services he offered.
Likewise, by being baptized, we make a public declaration that we will live no longer for ourself only but for God. And that declaration is our "contract" with God that if we do our best to live according to God's will, he'll resurrect us. But, of course, only God truly knows if we're truly doing our best.
Good question.
**Edit**
Wow... it took me almost an hour to write all that lol- but I was a bit distracted by the TV lol
As for children...
The Bible says there will be a resurrection of the righteous as well as the unrighteous (Acts 24:15). That includes children and babies and everyone who never had the opportunity to get to know Jehovah God.
Only 144.000 people go to heaven. Everyone else will be resurrected to live on a perfected planet as in the days or Adam and Eve.

No. Whatever Gods there may be see into your heart and know who you are. They are always with you, and They love you. No further action is required on your part, although the fruits of a life well-lived are worth it for their own sakes.
To the people who say that only Christianity will get you into Heaven, I have to respond: Then what about all those people who were born and died without ever hearing about Jesus? There WERE millions of them. Was the Christian God just bad at getting out the memo? Or is faith in Jesus optional? I tend to go with the latter conclusion.
