Everyone thinks it's funny but nothing was funnier about it than when Pres. Clinton started yabbling about "bully pulpit" ten years ago. It turned out the term did have meaning,but the term itself was hopelessly obscure and archaic and sounded perfectly idiotic. But I see what you're doing.

You're trying to use R&S as a bully pulpit.

pulpit sounds like a slang verb for beating up someone or something.....

Very true. Something like pulp from orange juice comes to mind. Then also an arm pit.
