Wiccans do; what type depends on what the incense is being burned for, since different scents have different magical correspondences. Me, I tend to favor raw frankincense resin burned on an incense charcoal -- it's a good overall incense for purification and protection.

Everyone burns incense, not just religious people. I know that alot of people in India burn it. So try looking into Buddhism or Hinduism. There are all types of incense, just go to a specialty store and check it out.

Lots of them do! Catholic, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Buddhist, Hindu, and a hundred others I don't even know about. It's a very common symbol of prayer ascending to God or heaven. I don't know that any of them burn any specific type of incense. Each one may have a favorite or in some cases, it comes from convents or abbeys as their source of income.

There are many including the Christian based religions that do. Two used the most are Frankincense and Myrrh. But there are other varieties. Native Americans use White sage to cleanse an are of negativity.

Though they are not required, but for beginners it creates conducive environment for worship.
In India (among Hindus, Muslim, Buddhists etc.), it is extensively used, which is based upon surrendering five senses to the God. Incense represents smell, which one out of five senses.
At material level, it makes the environment pure, because it is made of various herbs.

wiccans do. We use a variety from Nag champa to sandlewood and sage. Native Americans use sage. Catholics use insense as well though not sure what they use. Hindus and Krishnas use Nag Champa.
