"Herein is love made perfect with us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as he is, even so are we in this world.
There is no fear in love: but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath punishment; and he that feareth is not made perfect in love.
We love, because he first loved us. "
I John 4:17-19
When we realize the omnipotent Creator of the Universe so valued our soul that He willingly took our sins upon Himself to bear them away, so we would never have to face the consequences of our sin in Hell, it elicits from us a desire to emulate Him, and in doing those things which please Him our hearts are made the more secure in the knowledge that we are His, and have been born of God, and are heirs to His eternal Kingdom, through the grace we have received from Christ Jesus His Son.

1John 4:18
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear has punishment and he who fears has not been perfected in love.
Perfect love is the love that has been perfected in us by our loving others with the love of God. Such love casts out fear and has no fear of being punished by the Lord at His coming back.
Luke 12:46-47
The master of the slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know and will cut him asunder and will appoint his portion with the unbelievers
And the slave who knew his master's will and did not prepare or do according to his will, will receive many lashes.
This fear that is spoken of in this verse does not refer to the fear that we will offend God and be judged by Him
1 Pet 1:17
And if you call as Father the One who without respect of persons judges according to each one's work, pass the time of you sojourning in fear
Hebrews 12:28
Therefore receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us have grace through which we may serve God well pleasingly with piety and fear.
This fear is the fear that we have offended God and will be judged by Him. Love refers to the perfected love and this love casts out fear. We are those with our being opened wide, serving the Lord out of a loving serving spirit.
Romans 12:11
Do not be slothful in zeal, but burning in spirit, serving the Lord.

If your love for someone else is greater than your fear for yourself, you will find the inner strength to overcome hardships, to fight or confront injustice or cruelty, and to risk your life for another, if necessary.
Without love, the only way to accomplish those things would be by rigid logic and calculation of the benefits vs risks.

Put the full armor of God around you. God keeps His promises and says over 500 times in the Bible " Fear not" and " Do not be afraid".
