Right you are - "Just search for truth with a sincere heart and you will find your answer".
1. Why are we here - Refer to next answer.
2. Why is your purpose - to live life "As It Is" and realize the Truth.
3. Is there a plan - from material perspective it's Birth, Grow, Mature, Decay and Die.

Who says that there is reason? The desire for a purpose or plan in life does not necessarily indicate that there is any or that there must be one or that someone or something somehow owes those things to us.When I search for truth with my most sincere heart, this is the conclusion that I come to, one based on my observation of the world around me with out any wishful thinking about my imagined importance in the universe. The universe "just is". We have to find or invent our own meaning. We're here alone, just us, maybe that's sad, but it's true. There is no one out there.

Wow - you can't have a life without a belief in a god? Is your life then that meaningless you'd fall over dead if it was irrevocably proven your beliefs were false? I highly doubt it.
Plenty of point to my life, because I've purposefully MADE a point of making something of my life.
My purpose? To teach, to share, to love - and I don't have to be religious to do any of the above.
Why I'm here - because my parents loved each other enough to want to share that love with children.
That IS sincere and it IS the truth - for me. Sorry if you don't like my truth, but it suits me better than your truth does.
EDIT - is the point to you being here to give yourself best answer points via another screen name? That's pretty sad, you know.

Why am I here?
I am here to serve God.
What is my purpose ?
To be the vicegerent of God in administering His Creation on this Earth.
Is there a Plan?
Yes, there are. But that plan is for us to follow, and for God to know. God knows best. He knows what I held in mine heart, but I do not, can not know what is His. I am to follow His guide as He has promised to give when He send us all down here to earth. There is more to that, but I am ill equip to provide the answer in a much better details.
For example, do you know you're an engineer/accountant/teacher/lecturer/scientist/whatever when you were just a newborn? No, but everybody follows his/her path according to the plan God has put him on. According to what God made him/her for. That was the plan. If not, why is there a thing called talent? For example, I'm tone deaf, I know a song can be a good, but I can't sing a note, not to mention reciting the Holy Quran, a mess. While my sister have a beautiful voice and can recite the Quran in such a beautiful voice with such ease. Care for me to remind you that she took so much less time then me in learning how to recite it?
Account is such a simple thing for me but to my sister, it's a jargon full of crap of incomprehensible numbers.
Talent is how God execute His Plan in administering this World, and we are the agent, the vicegerent in executing His Will. Appreciate what God have given us, remember that nothing is outside His Plan. Nothing is a mere happenstance.
Everything happens for a reason, it is for us to discover the truth behind.

God does exist and you just need to have faith that God truly does exist. Even if their is no God it is better to live a good life and thier be no God. Than to live a bad sinful life and their be a God. You just need to find God in urself and have faith. Dont lose faith because it can move mountains and can help you in the toughest of times. God does exist because there is always someone watching you and he is the someone.

Been through a TON of pain in my life -- lost EVERYTHING (material) but have two grown sons, two daughters-in-law and two wonderful grandbabies. We're totally broke but when I'm with any of them or talk on the phone with any of them, my life turns HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!! Life isn't about the crap we have -- it's about the wonderful people around us. People don't get this. We are so totally wrapped up into "STUFF" instead of LIFE. I've also been laid off for 3 months (I'm 49) and ya know, it's been like hell but see......there's love in my heart for special people....."stuff' matters NOT.

I am a super hero. My purpose in life is to fight crime. I can change my skin color. My sidekick Emily is a raging alcoholic and beats her husband when she gets home....And in a serious note I don't believe we have a purpose at all on Earth even if God exists.

Sounds more like a statement then a question. But ok, stop worrying about your purpose, that **** can lead to mental problems. Live your life day by day and enjoy each moment. A purpose can only be defined at the end.
