I just got back from Walmart. As I made my way through the parking lot I counted 17 people who walked right in front of my car without looking. I didn't count the people who did look... but walked in front of my car anyways.

And we say deer are stupid...

Everything we open has safety seals taking up all the time we are "saving"......by modern technology in wrestling with these stupid hindrances for our own safety......yet the lettuce is contaminated or the dog food or the canned stew..........isn't it time we quit trusting in man and call on the name of the Lord to save us? :)

I am reposting this in hopes that I will receive some respectful, honest answers.

Yes, I am a Christian. Yes, I believe evolution is possible, I know the age of the earth is several billions years old, and I am pro-choice.

Yes, I believe in Heaven.
Yes, I go to church.

I am trying to get an honest answer. Would you please consider giving a respectful one to me?

"God, please do things so incredibly large and powerful through this ministry that people will have to look past me to you and say: No person could have done this."

This is a well-known prayer by pastor Rod Parsley of World Harvest Church in Columbus, OH.

I think it is a good prayer, but how many of you agree that nothing like what he is praying for has ever happened? If it did, I'd be more than happy to believe.

Does this concern you that many more Christians will now be vilified even more in our society? (USA) There are yucky televangelists out there that do horrendous things claiming to be in the name of God. But to the secular or non-Christian public sometimes they are the only Christians they see! Do you believe this will add more fuel to the fire so to speak within a society already wanting to nix born again Christianity out?

Non-Christians what do you think of this? Do you believe this will solidify even stronger a distain for Christianity?

Everyone, please play nice :)

This church is located in my town, Columbus, Ohio. The pastor, Rod Parsley, owns a Corvette and a house that is worth two million dollars. The church itself is incredibly huge, expensive, and very fancy. Don't you think that money would be better spent on, say, I don't know, feeding starving children? What do you think?

My Pastors sister (Sister Patty) had a massive heart attack yesterday and not expected to live. This morning I got a call that she has no blood pressure and that she is on life support. The doctors said she is technically dead.

My Pastors wife told me they have her hooked to every machine possible and that Sis. Patty is not responding to anything.

Do you believe in miracles?
Will you pray for Sis. Patty?

In summer 2006, when I was 12, I went on a mission trip with my youth group. We went to Mexico and built houses for the people. There were about 6 other churches there, and I met a boy my age from a different church. We became good friends. Two days later, we had a little heart to heart talk. He told me that he comes from an abusive family in a little town with tons of crime and drugs. I was so shocked. There was nothing in his sunny, friendly demeanor consistent with what he told me, but I believed it. I almost cried when he said, "I don't want to go home. I have no friends there. Why would God show me what love is if he's only going to let me experience it for 10 days?"

He reminded me so much of a girl who was in my PE class in 6th grade, and still goes to my middle school. She's always bullying kids from the nearby elementary school and vandalizing and shoplifting, but her parents don't even care about her. I wondered how different she would be if people gave her a second chance.

Greeting: Grace & Peace unto you from God & Lord JC.
Midst Discussion: bla bla black sheep -vs- scape goats
Salutation: The Grace of our Lord JC with you all. Amen.

Why does it open with "the Lord Jesus Christ",
but notably close with "our Lord Jesus Christ"?

Doesn't the NT also both open and close with JC?
What then is CJ? Why only used in the midst of NT?

Doesn't Revelation notably end with Paul's "token",
"the token in every epistle" written by his own hand,
as mentioned thrice in three other Pauline Epistles?
