Has God Been Asleep For the Past 6,000 Years?

Question

Since God created the universe some 6,000 years ago has he been asleep.

I can't believe that he would have let the world get into the terrible state it is today if he had been awake!

God created and govern the universe. When the world end, there's eternity. Every soul will be like born again to the Day of Judgement. Everybody will stand before God for Judgement. God never asleep at any amount/Numbers of years. The world has not to the end yet. The eternity hasn't begin. It's still early to God. The world is towards the end after the exist of the last prophet and the messenger of God Muhammad. The time will come. Nobody will absent for the Day of Judgement. Daily records are written for each and everybody for the Day of Judgement. Just wait. Its true. If life and health is true, If death is true, the Day of Judgement is true.

If your father gave you and a brother a toy, and you guys never agree to anything and brake it. Was your father sleeping when it happened? maybe, but it was still not your father's fault.


I don't think God sleeps, actually I think that God is pretty good and patient. Because I think that if I were God I would have destroyed everything already.

We are always lying to each other, also to ourselves, cheating each other, separating each other, we conceive the idea of discovering the fire, and then we go and burn the neighbors's house, or the forest.

We built a giant machine in space called "International Space Station" only to play the human bubble and look at the forestal fires as a spectacle. But we are not smart to build a giant machine on Earth to put the forestal fires out.

And the rich oppresses the poor, and then when you complain to the congress you elected, they just go and pass laws that affect only the poor. I think Congresses are bought and payed for by contributions.

God is not sleeping my friend, we are.

"Multiply and be fruitfull" doesn't mean: "Make a lot of babies, then bring them to me so I change their diapers".

Definition to 'man'?
What is sleep? you (people) sleep naturally in night. Because you are with body. Sleep is connected to body. A day is coming when you put off this body, you will know what the sleep is all about. But it would be too late to know.
You know, why universe is? why you are a man? Who asked you to believe? You have not yet find what the belief is all about. Only belief can be exploited. Do you like to be exploited?
There can never be any terrible thing with out any body's action, terrible thing is reaction of some body's action.

Um no. partly because he didn't create the world 600 years ago and partly because God, if you want to view the Universal deity through Judao-christian eyes, has been very much a part of peoples lives during that 6000 years.

I always find it funny how so many people can blame God for terrible events that happen in today's society. Do we all not know that there has to be a balance of everything in life? Cant have male without female, cant have night without day, etc etc., yet we expect there to be good without evil. Its just an easy way to knock another persons faith in God, and also a great way to comfort one's self when in doubt.

"I can't believe that he would let..." is not a very fair, or good way to look at it. We all tend to believe that God should just swoop in and save us and set things right. Even when God isnt the reason things are messed up. I believe God is just and fair, and that since we're all granted free will, and he is just, things are "messed up" because we've failed, or made it that way. Human beings and our choices are the cause of much of the problems that exist.

Its time we start looking within to see how we each contribute to our atmosphere, and stop blaming God.

Surely nobody actually still believes that nonsense about the world being created in 4004 BC. That was just of people who had no knowledge of actually age of the earth and the universe. the earth is millions of year old and there no "God" who is going to interfere with anybody's life

Genesis 2:2 says God rested from all the work he did, God stopped creating in other words.
God has allowed mankind to govern themselves after they disobeyed him, since that raised the issue of Universal Sovereignty, meaning God's right to rule. Satan had persuaded Eve that they were better off deciding for themselves, in Genesis 3, and in turn Adam followed her in rebelliousness. God has allowed Humans to experiment with every form of government and rulership with Satan the ruler of this present world condition, as it says in 1 John 5:19. God will NOT tolerate the badness and suffering in the world forever, and will one remove present world rulers, governments and Satan and establish one world government as it says in Daniel 2:44

No he has not been asleep. He is allowing this time to make an answer to Satan's taunt of who mankind needs as a ruler. When Satan deceived Adam and Eve he was in essence telling them that they did not need God as their ruler. He said they could direct their lives on their own; make their own decisions...and now look what the mess is that we have gotten ourselves into. We have tried every conceivable type of government and none of them have ever worked! True peace and security is what we need in a government and that will only come about by God's kingdom with Jesus as its King. So, soon God will step in and end all governments and restore His to its rightful place.
