I've learned so much from the way she preaches God's word. Why do some people talk so negative about someone who tells the Gospel so well?

You will realize that the slanderers of her ministry are false accusers. So? Just being devils tares.

I love Joyce Meyers & many people have overcome the devils deceptions through her ministry. People are now having a victorious life.

The devil just tries to destroy any of Gods ministries that people are coming to Christ through.

It is written that People don't come to the light because their ways are evil. That if the world persecuted Jesus Christ, the Light of the Word, then the world would persecute those who are trusting & obeying God & actually preaching & writing what God gifts them in or the ministry God calls them in.

I gave a thumbs up for LLSweeny. In there also is checked out are personal gifts. If someone gifted her with a gold toilet, then, why should she be judged of mishandling funds. Is someone gave her any other special gift then what is the deal. God blesses us abundantly above all we can imagine ask or think. But when people send money for the ministry of the Lord, then I am sure that money is going to the ministry the money is given for. Because it is given to the Lords ministry. Because she also helps needy children in other countries. This is the Lord's ministry. And God is the God of enouph with plenty left over.

I don't have a problem with investigations into tax fraud & if they may lose tax exempt status. Because sometimes there is illegal activity going on. It can be by others who aren't the evangelist but someone else in the ministry. But I am also confident that when the dust settles, Joyce Meyer is going to be cleared along with the rest on the list. And expensive gifts to her personally shouldn't be part of the ministry, since they were a gift to her personally.

Joyce Meyer Wardrobe

I live in the area near where her ministry is based. She came under fire in the local media not too long ago for her rather lavish lifestyle (and that of her family) -- multi-million-dollar homes, designer wardrobe and the like. As I recall, nothing was found amiss in the ministry's finances, but the clear implication was that those who donate to the ministry helped her to live high on the hog. It seemed a rather gratuitous attack, honestly. While I don't agree with the entirety of Joyce's theology, even as a Catholic I enjoy her common-sense style and really don't think she's been blinded by the bling. But she does set herself up for this sort of thing, as do most popular preachers who live a similar lifestyle.

Edit: Just read the article referenced above. The actual context of the $23,000 toilet is: "The tax-exempt purpose of items purchased for her ministry's headquarters, such as a $23,000 marble-topped commode, a $30,000 conference table and an $11,219 French clock."

Does seem a little over-the-top, but she also preaches a prosperity gospel and perhaps the headquarters are supposed to reflect that ...

I think we all need to remember that Joyce Meyer does work for a living. She writes and sells countless books, CD's, audiobooks, t-shirts, etc... She is entitiled to spend the money she has earned in any way that she chooses. There is no sin in being extravagant and I would imagine she is purchasing these expensive of items more for the purpose of having tax write-offs. It's either buy some of these items or give the money to Uncle Sam....I know how I would vote on that one!
The only thing we are entitled to monitor and make her accountable for is the money she collects for underprivileged children in other countries or other missions or offerings from her St. Louis based church. Those funds are the only funds that should concern us because they were donated to her ministry for use elsewhere.
I think people are too quick to jump on the band wagon and not think through or review all of the facts. We need to settle down and allow the appropriate parties to audit her books.

Jesus said that we would be hated because because of His name............Although Joyce is a wonderful bible teacher and she has a great ministry....she is also an author of many best selling books. She is wealthy because of this. If her income supports her buying $23,000 toilets, good for her. She works hard for her money and I believe she is an honest person. Joyce Meyers Ministries does a lot of good work not only in the US, but in other countries also. Check out her ministry at http://www.joycemeyer.com Remember....Satan is the prince of the airway.....He is a liar!

A person could buy a $23,000 CAR SEAT for the same price, and get the whole rest of the car along with it!

It might not have 'running water' ... but the car would probably 'run'!

Here is what the Bible says about "preachers of the word" ...
quoting Jesus Christ,

NIV Version
Matthew 10:
"7 As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.'
8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. FREELY YOU HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE."

Freely you received, freely give!

Poor people support these ministries and 'ministers' ... who live lavish lifestyles. This is not right; and goes counter to everything Jesus Christ taught.

As for Benny Hinn ... he is one of the worst. He supposedly heals people. But, notice in the verse above (again, quoting Jesus himself) ... 8 Heal the sick, RAISE THE DEAD ...

If Benny Hinn is not raising them from the dead, and I mean TRULY DEAD ... as in the body has already begun to "decompose" 'dead' ... then he isn't healing the sick either ...

It is truly sad how these ministers use God and Jesus to play on the desperation of poor people, and spend these ill gotten gains on 'White Silk Suits', and 'Marble Toilets'.

NIV Version
John 8:
31 ... "IF you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

From what?

The answer to this is obvious and simply stated.

Liars.

Please, read the remainder of Matthew, Chapter 10.

I'm afraid to say that she is one of the televangelists that are now being investigated for possible tax fraud. I have no idea if this is true; I hope it isnt! Ive learned so much from her as well. If it is true (there are 6 evangelists on the list) then this is just the start for the country to abolish a church tax exemption. If this happens (and there is a movement to do so) you will see ALOT if not most charities be hit very very hard.

EDIT: I just read that article. WOW! a 23,000 marble toilet. I am appalled and so very sad. I dont mind these televangelists living well; however a ridiculous item like this is pure greed.

I didn't know she has so many on her pay roll. No wonder we get
them on this website defending the indefensible. She has
no talent let alone inclination to preach the gospel. Every word
of her drivel is a prelude to asking for cash which she says
is for God. Some people are mentally blind.
Are people indendifying her as God?
If you have excess money given it to the poor. When did the bible
tell you to give it to rich con artists like Joyce?

I heard that she sports a solid gold toilet seat... That is the rumor that I heard! I am not being obscene... I heard this and a list of other offenders and offenses on FOX news. I am not sure if Joyce is the one with the golden toilet seat...

Edit: My wife loves her, too... she remembers a lesson that she preached about the God blessed days of King Solomon when silver was so common in Israel that people would trow it on the streets because it had no value...
