One of the nazi's 'problems' seems to be that they thought the jews first loyalty was to each other rather than their host conutry, and that this meant their power and influence in germany was not in the interest of the country as a whole.

Is that right and if so, just how powerful/influential were they?

Given the number and value of claims for 'confiscated/stolen' goods/property that jewish organisations keep raising, it looks like they must have had masssive power and wealth in pre-nazi germany - is that so?

We were discussing religions and their prayers, and what they pray for, and I speculated about the efficacy of amputees' prayers in christian religions, and somebody informed me, rather assertively that "Jesus doesn't do new legs." Saying the best you can hope for to pray for a prosthetic leg --

This started a heated debate, and I was wondering if any of you church folks would settle this for us:

Does Jesus do new legs or doesn't he?

Yes, I know god doesn't work like that. At least, not very often. There was that whole thing with Job and the wager with Satan, but that was a long time ago. Anyway -- if it was the only way to save an unbeliever's soul, would you give up your place in heaven?

I have another Question regarding the bible.I am a Pagan but mean you no disrespect.
I am simply wanting a Christian view on this.
OK~ Armegeddon.....God will put an end to the existance of anyone who has not accepted him and his supposed word ..the bible...right?
God is in many ways our Parent right?
So I am a parent and i can not ever accept that a perfect parent, such as the creator of this world, would ever get fed up with their child and turn their backs on them.
My children may grow to lead lives that i disaprove of and do things i abhor....but i know that i will never give up on them.
They might reject me and go to live with their bioligical father who is a deadbeat dad in every sense of the word and begin to live their lives according to his standards( which are appalling)~ but still i would never reject them as completely as the bible states God will do.
But in Revelations it states there will come a day when the God from the bible will do just that...
Your thoughts on this?

in place of your child if there is such a place and such a choice to be made? It's a simple yes/no hypothetical question. It requires no further speculation. Just want to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

This is just a quote from the Talmud that I thought others may enjoy...

"Woman was created from the rib of man.
She was not made from a part of his head to top him,
nor was she made from his feet to be trampled on.
She was created out of his side to equal him,
under his arm to be protected by him
and near his heart to be loved."

I will be honest i am a Pagan, but i mean you no disrespect.

Ok~ In the bible there is a quote~ Thou shalt have no other Gods before me~ Is the bible not confirming the existance of other Gods?
Thanking you in advance for your informative and respectful answers.

Everybody says god had no wife.

But our neighbor, Mr. Gibby says Jesus talks to him now and then, and last week Jesus told him that God has a wife, and her name is Milly.

So those of you who say we created God in our image, you lose. God already exists, along with his wife Milly. Tell that to the atheistic people next time you see them.

(And, yes, Jesus will be speaking to Mr. Gibby again -- not a week goes by...)

cavity in his entire life? God had always taken care of him, he said.
Anyway, I had had all my teeth pulled a month before and was still waiting for a new set.
He left me sitting there, drinking beer and pondering why God didn't love me too?
Isn't that a kind of shallow faith? Or why did God allow me to get cavities and not him?
I think he's a fruitcake, don't you?

This story is true.

If anyone had kept a proper icon of the crucified messiah, why pick something as mundane as a cup? A shroud would have been significant of the burial, but not the death or supposed resurection. Why not the hammer used in the crucifixion? Or maybe one of the nails? Let your twisted lil minds roam however you wish on this one.

Whenever somebody asks who God's creator is, you often answer that "He simply is, and always will be."
Well why do you believe that the Universe (as complex as it is) needs a creator, but God doesn't?
Surely God is much more complex than the Universe. Someone MUST'VE made him.
Everything has a beginning. Sure, a circle has no beginning, but someone had to have made that circle in the first place.

I grew up in a household that didn't express religion. I have recently been saved but I don't go to a church. I have never felt comfortable in a church, so I chose to worship at home until I find a church I feel comfortable with. Anyways, Do you have to be baptized to go to Heaven and/or have a relationship with God? Or is that just a just a Baptist thing?

Every now and then, I have to cut the dead leaves off of my palm trees that I have in my yard or else the HOA writes me a nasty letter. Well, today I was out there and palm trees have leaves that have "teeth" on them like saws and I cut the living bejeezus out of both hands. Right now, I am typing with bandaged hands.
But it got me to thinking about Palm Sunday, and how they layed down palm leaves in the street because Jesus was coming. Maybe they didn't want him to come, and that is why they put those little green hacksaws down everywhere.
What do you think?

What about the poor, innocent babies that die of cancer. Or the Christians that die of it, and it isn't fair ? Why doesn't He answer our prayers and save our loved ones?
