Hell is not currently a real place. We also have neither a spirit nor a soul -- in the spiritual sense. We *are* a living soul -- we don't *have* one (Gen. 2:7; 1Cor. 15:45). The Bible formula for a living soul:

Dust of the Ground + Breath of Life = A Living Soul

We also don't *have* the spiritual concept of a "spirit." The word translated in the Bible into the English word "spirit" is referring to the Breath of Life given to us by God. Without the Breath, we are just plain dead -- back to the Dust of the Ground (Gen. 3:19; Psalms 104:29). The Bible formula for death:

A Living Soul - Breath of Life = Dust of the Ground

I just want to know why people are against this question or any for that matter. This is a Answer community. If you dont' want to answer this particular question - than don't!!!! Everyone here is able to post their own beliefs and opinions. We don't need people with smart remarks. Obviously they have nothing better to do...

My opinion to your question - I don't believe there is a hell either. It was to scare people, I believe. Karma on the other hand, I do believe in. "What goes around, comes around." I am sure everyone has had this happen to them through their life. That is one thing you can count on!

Once you die and go to Jinnah or Jahannam you get a new body so ALLAH(SWT) burns your skin off the entire time you are in Hell as punishment for not believing in him and Prophet Muhammad(PBUH*). It will take you 70,000 years to hit the bottom of Hell and then when you drink the water of Hell your brain will evaporate because the water is like fire and the bad people will be like wood for the fires of Hell.

We're working under the assumption here that there is a physical Hell and that it includes a punishment of fire (as we know fire here on Earth).

I strongly doubt both of these, as a Christian. If Hell does exist (and translation issues raise doubt on it), I would suppose it is NOT a physical space, but probably another dimension of existence entirely. If there is something like fire in such a place, it could not be the same as fire on Earth.

I'm more of the assumption that Hell is a place where you're locked alone in the dark for eternity, but that's just me.

formalized religion has interfered with truth... there are stories of Jesus and other people you will never hear because they were erased by people who thought it better you didn't know... not just in the 20th century but through the centuries... anyone burning in hell is doing so because that is where he or she put him or herself... thoughts are very similar to flesh... similar to a carrot on a stick...your flesh goes where your thoughts go... what if hell is for bad lives... when you die... you do it all over again... without change

Hell is not real. Even though I am no religious scholar, even hardcore Bible thumpers that know what they're talking about will tell you that hell does not exist. I know that it is a very popular fantasy in mainstream religion, but like many other things in organized religion, it's a hypocritical lie, so there's ultimately so sense in making logic out of it because there is simply no logic with such a theory in the first place.

It is a fiction place made up by Christians. So, anything associated with it is pure fiction.

Now here is a more important lesson. Anything that attempts to use fear, like telling you your soul is gonna go to Hell, is something you really wanna stay away from. Ask yourself, is something that is illogical and uses fear to scare people in to belivering, really something you want to be a part of.

Hell is a real place of terror and torment. It is filled with demons who hate us and want us to suffer. And why? Because God created us out of His own love, and in love gave us the freedom to choose whether we wanted Him in our lives, or not. He wants us to choose Him. Because God really, truly, genuinely and sincerely loves us, Satan and the demons hate us. They are the direct opposite of love, and will hate whatever and whomever God loves.
What a terrifying thing to allow ourselves to fall into the hands of those frightening and revengeful creatures! I read a book recently called "23 Minutes in Hell" about a person's experience while there. His experience is more about any terror we could imagine, but he did not drop into fire. He spoke of others in torment in a fiery pit though.
Don't think it would be impossible to feel flames because we would have no flesh. How can we know if it is possible to have flesh and feel pain after death? We DON"T know, and I don't care to think about spending eternity outside of the protective care of God.

I would assume that it is a different kind of pain. Not the kind of physical pain that we know now. I think it's more the feeling of complete separation from God-forever that causes the unimaginable pain. It's probably entirely different and much worse than anything we, as humans, can possibly come up with. However, believe what you want to believe.
