What about the poor, innocent babies that die of cancer. Or the Christians that die of it, and it isn't fair ? Why doesn't He answer our prayers and save our loved ones?

if the idea of dying saves people from this earth, wouldn't it be smarter for god to kill us all?

There are no innocent babies. If you r a Christian, then you should know of our original sin. We are sinners when we are born. What a nightmare if nobody ever dies. This world is overcrowded already as it is. According to the bible, living on earth is our punishment for our sins. When we die we get to have eternal life with God either in heaven or in hell. So blessed those who believe and die.

You will never find satisfactory answers to your questions. If you do please tell me. Mankind has been strugling with similar questions since the beginning of time. You will discover in time, you just have to be practical and accept certain things. "What's the sound of one hand clapping..." type of thing.
References below are really good books to read from different views (Christian, ex-Christian, Jewish respectively).

I'm sure the poor innocent babies that had cancer and are now in the arms of the Lord aren't sad that they are in heaven. The Christians wouldn't be sad either...

It's this earth that is difficult... (not that it has to be that way) if only we could bring a little heaven to earth by loving God and loving others.

There is nothing that can stop it when God calls someone home. They are brought to a better place and are no longer hurting. I'd say God answers prayers that way. If he heals someone from cancer, it means their time is not up yet and it's not time for them to go home until later, and he does heal a lot of people.
I lost 3 of my grandparents to cancer, one died less than a year ago. Very sad, we prayed for all of them, but it was just their time to go and that's that.
I miss them terribly, but I know I'll see them when I go home so it's okay.
Peace.

God saw him getting tired,a cure not meant to be,so He put his arms around him,and whispered "Come to Me."

I just lost my dad last week to diabetes but will never ask God why he took my dad because I know dad is before the throne of God.
My dad went through 11 surgeries this summer due to diabetes and became a double amputee but I will always will believe God is in control.
Things happen for a reason but we will not always understand why God allowed it to happen. One day we will know the reason ,but until then" Let go and let God. "

Because, dying isnt a bad thing, christians are "saved" and after you are saved, dying brings you to the face of the lord, and judeged to heaven or hell, babys have no choice yet, so they are sent to heaven immediatly, but, everything happens for a reason, and God has a reason for everything.

Life isn't fair, God never promised that it would be. Prayers are always answered, not always the way WE want them to be.

I lost my dad a year ago to cancer....he shouldn't have survived from his accident in 1963. God answered those prayers then.

Because we don't completely understand the nature of god and the universe so to make assumptions based on false pretenses will leave you hanging, on the forever asked question, "Why does God let bad things happen to good people?"

When Christians die, they leave this physical realm and enter the spiritual realm. Although we don't know much about the spiritual realm, Jesus called it paradise. There, we will see God face to face.

It would be nice, but then if God saved everyone from cancer, why not save everyone who's in a fatal car crash and save everyone from murder and ALS and cardiac arrest and drowning, and, and, and.....but then everyone would live forever, but then, oh yes, God took care of that by sending his son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
