Do you realy belive that God was sitting some where, feeling bored.
Well what should I do today?
OK I will create the univers, after all I have been here for countless billions of years, it will take six days, then I will have a day off.
Well why not?
If I have had billions, of days off I am entitled to one more.
If you do not know the answer, I do, so ask?

why do christians feel the need to make him the king of darkness, the ruler of hell....dont you think that's a big far fetched.

why is it in the bible, that there are NO verses, NOT one (please show me if i'm wrong) that clearly gives an example of Satan being SINFUL. he was banished but for what? doing what we humans do every day. even christians. we are vain, selfish etc. but i noticed that even in the story of Eve in the Garden of Eden he never sinned. EVE DID! why is he to be feared and why do christians believe he is the Ruler of Darkness? don't you think that's a bit over the top?
i've been a christian all my life, but have rediscoverd the truth about the said Bible and what MAN has ommitted from the collection of books. my belief that Jesus is the son of God doesnt stop me from believing that the church is based on lies, ommissions & repression of women and the poor.

but it was kind of like i was watching myself in the dream and

I don't know. It was great at first. Now I feel like a slave. I have to do EVERYTHING he says. He's never around when I need him. And I think he's been seeing other supplicants, too. How can I win back his attention? Or should I dump him and get a new god?

I mean seriously, I can't believe how these delusional people actually put all their trust in a book that tells you there's an invisible man in the sky who judges everything you do. It's like everyone lives in fear of their religion it's quite sad. Everytime I ask for some evidence if God exists, someone always tells me to look in the bible. Thats not freakin evidence!

The USA is going to have to continue to be creative in order to compete in a global market. The science of Intelligent Design will give the next generation what they need to compete in the field of Biology, but what about the other sciences?

For instance, we could have Intelligent Chemistry to show how water can turn to wine. Or Intelligent Physics, to demonstrate how man can walk on water. I can even forsee Intelligent Medicine for healing lepers, and the like.

Jack W. Hayford, on Daystar Texas Christian TV, said that, in his opinion, very high profile Christian ministers who divorce should step back for awhile vs immediately preaching next week's sermon so to speak.

Apparently Jack W. Hayford was hinting at high profile TV Christian ministers such as Juanita Bynum, Bishop Thomas Weeks, and Randy and Paula White.

Jack W. Hayford said that Christian ministers in leadership should ideally have a code of ethics which is a little different than how divorce may be looked at in the ~ celebrity camps of ~ Hollywood, sports, etc.

---

Apparently parts of the Protestant world are like parts of the European Catholic world where events such as child crimes/whatever are too often overlooked/made light of aka the Non-Profit Religious Business As Usual continues. Parts of the moderate Islamic world also tend to ignore/make light of the extremist/terrorist actions of extreme Islam aka the Non-Profit Religious Business As Usual continues.

And by "how you live", I don't mean what you preach to the unfortunate heathens, but what you DO.

1. Whether God is a trinity or not.
2. Whether Mary was saved from the beginning (born without original sin)
3. Whether it's okay to make an image of Jesus.
4. Whether you can choose salvation or whether you're predestined to salvation (or damnation).
5. Whether prayer can benefit the dead.
6. Whether the rapture will happen before or after the tribulation.
7. What name you should use when talking to God.
8. Whether some clergymen should take vows of celibacy.
9. Whether the story of the garden of Eden is allegorical or not.
10. Whether the story of the great flood is allegorical or not.

I'm not talking about the 'irreverent humour' posts.

It seems that every time an honest question is asked that opens up new ideas, it gets deleted.

I attend church but i don't claim to be a christian i believe in god and i worship him what i don't claim to be christian because i have made some choices that are sins......

I don't leave rude comments on peoples questions but everytime you bring up something about abortion or tongue piercings christians are the first to pop off and say something rude.. if god wanted it that way then you would have been born like that.....

I love god but i believe everything happens for a reason and i'm not going to discriminate against someone because they had a baby at 16 or got there tongue pierced. or got a tattoo... or had premartial sex.....

Why are christians (They are so called) like that towards people.????

Seems that way from my point of view.

So you are a trinitarian like the Catholics and Protestants, then you are considered a "normal" church.

If you are not a trinitarian then the above mentioned labels it a 'cult.'

Does this sound right?

There is the whole Adam and Eve thing about how we were created in the bible (the religious aspect) and there is the whole evolution thing (the scientific aspect). It also includes the dinosaurs. The bible says nothing about these things. The two contradict each other. There is proven science to the dinosaurs. There is nothing to prove the bible. It is just something we are taught. I've recently started to question everything. I'm a very spiritual person, with a medical background (I'm a nurse). I'm confused as to what to believe. I want your opinions on all of this. Don't get me wrong, I believe in God and Jesus, but I'm wondering how it all fits together. I was not raised religious and do not know much about the bible, but what I do know, is that it does not agree with science. If everyone has a time to go, why do we have doctors that bring you back to life. Why is there medicine? Let me know what you all think.
