why do many non-Muslims do so, and why don't people try to look on the teachings on Islam first,

Whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption done in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one, it is as if he had saved mankind entirely

[Qur'an 5:32]

"…and seek not corruption in the earth; lo! Allah loveth not corrupters " (28:77)

Prophet Muhammad pbuh said:
"Anyone who kills a Non-Muslim who had become our ally will not smell the fragrance of Paradise."

Let there be no misunderstanding: Islam forbids the killing of innocent civilians, wherever and whoever they may be, in absolute terms and a true Muslim cannot be a terrorist

THERE IS NO ROOM FOR TERRORISM IN ISLAM

(As a british muslim) Everytime i come on YA there's almost always ignorant views against Islam/muslims.
I don't know if its because people don't understand the religion, dont want to understand it, or are just plain numb in the head that they don't get anything, so i'd like to hear from non-muslims their views on Islam as a religion and why you have that opinion?

Their outlook toward humanity is extremely negative. They say we are all born innately corrupt and tend toward evil. They say that there is more sin in the world now than ever before. They rejoice in the idea that the whole world will come to and end and cannot wait to bring it about, and seem bent on doing exactly that. Is it any wonder the rest of the world looks on us with fear and loathing considering those very people are running our government?

Statistically, 80% of Americans are christian, yet the national divorce rate is 50%. What does this say about the ever touted "sanctity of marriage" that is so sacred and cherished by the christian community?

I feel as though there is a constant distraction out there, even if you're a non believer, you have to admit, all the distractions we face in society that try to deter us from our own path in life, and make us focus on the distractions. For example, you set out on what you believe is God's plan, and for the non believers, let's say you set out on your own plan on life of some sorts, then things go wrong, you meet the wrong people, get sick, get into a car accident, get sucked into temptations which try to ruin your life and make your path you previously considered next to impossible to complete?

If that's the case, and I myself am a believer even in these modern and quite difficult/godless times, and firmly believe that people without god (the majority) go to and fro, without spiritual guidance or knowledge, so basically its just their own willpower, and if they mow someone down, that is if they're cut-throatish, they dont care. It affects us believers though.

So what do we do?

Emma Gough, 22 and of Jehovah faith died when she refused a blood transfusion. She had JUST given birth to twins and is also survived by her husband.

I just cant understand this. The blood transfusion could of saved her life. This is a life she is now going to miss with her new children and her husband. I know the Jehovahs argument is, well she wouldnt go to heaven if she broke this rule - but isnt it worth the risk? Surely you should live your life first and foremost and whatever happens after happens. There are NO promises to even say that there is heaven/paradise. It can't be proven.

I find one who puts there religion before their Childrens life, their loved ones life and more importantly, their own life - extremely selfish and down right stupid.

Discuss.

Share of what you have learned regarding this matter of your spirit. We know that when we have been saved we were regenerated in our spirit and that this spirit is One with the Lord. We also know that the Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God. So in our spirit, there is the Holy Spirit, teaching our spirit, strenghtening our spirit, and as such teaching us how to live FROM our spirit day by day as we open to the Lord.
Please share on this verse and how it relates to you as a believer. Of your oneness with the Lord in spirit.

1 Cor 6:17
' But he who is joined to the Lord is One spirit"
There is a term, Mingled spirit" that a dear brother shared on and i found it very apt to describe the relationship between the Holy Spirit and our spirit. This joining is crucial. Our spirit is one place where the footprints of satan cannot be found. This part of our being as believers is sanctifed unto God for His purpose.

Please share more
in Christ

If so, what do you do?

Examples would be morning prayer, an offering to your deity/deities, meditation, chants, reading the Bible or some other religious text, etc...

I would like to hear from those of all different beliefs. This is your chance to answer a question about your own religious beliefs and practices for someone who is genuinely interested, as opposed to people who ask just so they can mock you or preach.

I'm a Christian and am also a recreational pot smoker. I've been told numerous times that marijuana smoking is "sinful". They don't say that to people who drink or smoke cigarettes but I'm supposedly sinful because I smoke pot.

Wheree do they get that from?

I hear some say that Catholics are wrong because of this or that and others say that Mormons are wrong for x, y and z, etc.

So can Christians give me a list, starting with your own flavor of Christianity at the top, and list the others (Baptist, Protestant, Lutheran, Catholic, etc) on down the line in order of "most" correct to "least" correct.

Use whatever criteria you want to order them because I don't know what makes one better than the other.

Thank you.
