My fiance's father is Muslim as are some of his family and friends. There will be alcohol served at our wedding. Is it acceptable for Muslims to attend a (non-denominational) wedding where people will be drinking alcohol?

Alcohol is forbidded for us to drink, we don't go insane if a non-Muslim drinks it, lol! Unless they're strict and don't even want to be in the same room with alcohol, then it should be no problem. Besides, I think seeing a few drunken relatives trying to do the chicken dance might reinforce their belief as to why alcohol is forbidden, lol!

I have attended weddings where alcohol is served, I simply do not drink it. It's easy enough to provide alternative beverages for them.

It really all depends on him and the family, and their level of beliefs and so on, I mean its not like they have to go to the bar, and we attend weddings too lol. Have a wonderful Wedding, Good Luck :D

Yes, as long as they don't consume alcohol or use glasses etc. used for serving alcoholic beverages or food mixed or cooked with alcohol. (But, don't be surprised, as lots of them do drink... transgressors, as you have in every religion, society or community - the forbidden allures them.
