I would not mind so much if they had something serious to base it on. But on the fact that the last three digits of a year is 000, on an arbitrary numbering system, or that the Mayan calender cycle is ending, again based on an arbitrary numbering system, or on the appearance of a comet that has turned up millions of times before, or on what their granny told them on her death bed, or on a load of vague prophecies that could be applied to any time in the last 8000 years, or on . . . .
Basically I think these people are so insecure in their belief that they are desperate for proof. They are so pathetic in their existence that they are desperate for a way to be better than the rest. The End Of The World will show everyone that their faith was right and that they are the chosen few.
How sad is it that people are actively seeking the end of the world?

Actually no. Whats irritating me beyond belief is the amount of mispelled words to the point where you can't even understand the question. Not your question of course. Its professionally phrased.
:)
I'm waiting for this day in dec/2012 when the ancient mayans predicted the end of the world would be, so I can laugh like I did when I heard some of these buttwipe nostradamus predictions.

I will be in heaven when the end comes. I will be caught up to meet Jesus in the air, before the tribulation.

I know we aren't going to see Ragnarok in our lifetimes.... but that doesn't stop many people wanting to see it... typically out of a bitterness toward the world that would go on without them.

Yes, any question with 2012 goes through a filter in my brain that removes it from existence.

This happens about every 2-3 years but they still come up with a date......I have no idea who's in charge of assigning a date.
Silly silly people.
