I told him yesterday. Naturally he was devistated. It's ok though. He is infinatly forgiving, and can forgive himself for not being.

He's not that all-knowing. Think how difficult it has been for human beings to accept the following:
1. We are made up of atoms, that at their core, are largely made up of empty space and charged particles that largely repel one another.
2. There are more bacterial and virus cells in our body than there are human cells.
3. Our planet, and thus all of our human drama, circles an humdrum star in an insignificant arm of a galaxy that lies in an undistinguished part of the universe. As I have heard a scientist recently describe it, we are a speck on a speck on a speck on a speck.
In other words, from the universe's perspective, we're within a hair's breadth of nonexistence ourselves.
