And by "how you live", I don't mean what you preach to the unfortunate heathens, but what you DO.
1. Whether God is a trinity or not.
2. Whether Mary was saved from the beginning (born without original sin)
3. Whether it's okay to make an image of Jesus.
4. Whether you can choose salvation or whether you're predestined to salvation (or damnation).
5. Whether prayer can benefit the dead.
6. Whether the rapture will happen before or after the tribulation.
7. What name you should use when talking to God.
8. Whether some clergymen should take vows of celibacy.
9. Whether the story of the garden of Eden is allegorical or not.
10. Whether the story of the great flood is allegorical or not.

Hey, Captain! I didn't put whether there is a God or not in the list because it isn't a nit of theology.

None. I just have a personal and harmonious relationship with God. By the way, the Great Flood has been corroborated by many supposedly "pagan" accounts more ancient than the Bible.

1. I believe in the trinity.
2. She had to be in order to carry out God's will. Nothing states that God could not have allowed this to be.This is a sticking point between Catholics and Protestants.
3. Its OK if its not for blasphemous purposes.
4. You choose the way you live. Absolute predestination negates free will.
5. Prayer cannot benefit the dead, but the dead who have attained salvation can pray for us.
6. I guess we will find out.
7. I call him Father.
8. If they feel called to do so then so be it. If not, then so be it.
9. Allegory
10. Allegory

These are questions lots of people ask..I think these things bother people because they read the Bible and look at it carnally. The Bible isn't a novel it is a spirtual book written by the ispiration of God...Therefore if you look at the words with a spirtual understanding then these things won't bother you...because they will be explained..I think as far as predestination goes God gave us all a choice didn't he...I mean we have a choice to do good or to do evil..WE make that choice which predestins us to go to heaven or hell. Why would God say one is going to hell or one is going to heaven if he gave us a choice to accept him or not? Why would Jesus have come and died for our sins if we were already predestined for heaven or for hell? Try reading the Bible with spritual eyes and ask God to help you understand. Simply put... these things don't bother me because God is talking about spirtual understandings rather than what man thinks is true. Hope I've helped you out a little. =D
I think as for the rest of your questions about Adam and Eve and Noah and so on that you should read the stories and ask yourself what else could they represent..Could Adam and Eve represent the whole of mankind and the Church(meaning all those who are saved and believe in Jesus Christ) the devil(serpent) could represent someone preaching some other doctrine other than Jesus Christ and told Eve the church that if she ate of the tree of Knowledge of good and evil that should would not surely die( the tree being that doctrine) Tree of Life representing Christ...something to think about...=D

By that rationale, I assume you have no problem with people praying to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, as long as it makes them happy?
I guess it doesn't really matter if the god that they base their entire understanding of existence upon is real or not?
Okey doke. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Edit - Ah yes, but if the book clearly says that THIS is truth, and it is later proven that THIS is not true... then anything that book claims from that point forward cannot be taken at face value. Therefore, its claim that its god even exists, must now be proven, or disregarded. I can say that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is allegory. That doesn't give me a free pass to believe something that is completely ludicrous.

properly for start up, you employ the term 'actuality'. would I ask you a query. have you ever examine the beginning of species? you will understand that 'evolution' is a theory and not a actuality. Darwin replaced into an incredible guy. His theory replaced into and nevertheless is a impressive theory and ought to properly be real. additionally did you comprehend that each sunday darwin went to a Christian church along with his kinfolk till the day of his loss of life whilst he replaced into examine his final rites he ask for Gods forgiveness. i'm a Catholic and that i do prepare my faith. you will locate that Catholics do no longer low fee Darwins theory. We embody it because it is going to show the comprehend of God. sure the bible states that the international replaced into created in six days. properly I recommend you learn your technological awareness a splash extra. Say that the writer of earth replaced into in a distinctive length from our very own. If I the place to stand on the outskirts of our galaxy 14 years would bypass on earth in in trouble-free terms a million year. So multiply that by way of the gap the writer of the earth would be from the earth and that's extremely available that the earth replaced into created in 6 days. yet in a distinctive length. additionally what you dont understand is that technological awareness and faith now paintings hand in hand. you will locate the vatican has 2 area telescopes and that many scientists now embody faith. you notice to respond to your question. All religious women and adult men human beings of which extraordinarily out variety atheists in the billions, have faith via fact they sense it of their heart. it isn't any longer a query of accepting that's a query of understanding. And if i'm incorrect and whilst we die we purely die then I even have misplaced no longer something. yet whilst i'm applicable and you're incorrect you will lose each little thing you have labored in direction of on your life. I do take pity upon you and could pray that God has mercy on your soul. you will locate that as you and different atheists will attempt to ridicule religions. purely keep in mind it could have been on the final breath yet Christianity forgave Darwin.

I have to agree with Strats. None of those are important in my walk with God, but then I'm not Catholic either. These seemed aimed at Catholics....?
I believe we can choose salvation, but I'm sure there are also good arguments for predetermination... I just go for "free will".
