I don't know. It was great at first. Now I feel like a slave. I have to do EVERYTHING he says. He's never around when I need him. And I think he's been seeing other supplicants, too. How can I win back his attention? Or should I dump him and get a new god?

It sounds a bit one-sided to me, and that's never healthy in a relationship.

I think you might need to take him in for counseling. He needs to understand your needs and you have to work out a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Otherwise, you may need to have a trial seperation and go from there.

And remember, "Think of the children!"

Who do you think you are?? Unless you're talking about a fake god then sure you can just dump him and go for another god. but come on..its going to be the same. Unless you have Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, than you are in the wrong. and if you have accepted Jesus and think you can just dump him..you better be prepared for something. Remember though, Jesus is a God of Justice, not a God of hate.

Hugs are better than drugs! Remember those bumper stickers! Hugs really are great! Also, learn how to sing with others! You got to let that pressure in your chest to flow outward. Let the gods help those who really need it; like the sick and the truely poor! If you feel like crying , then cry. Crying helps glue the heart back together.

I understand how u feel, I have been there. It may be that u are being tested to see if u are truly a lamb being lead, or if you want God to obey u. (U know, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat).
We r bought with a price. He paid with His life so that u would not have to perish.
He is always with u, every time u take a breath, u can't see the air u breath, but it is there.
Seek His face always, Glorify His Name.

Good question, but what if again you felt the same way to your new god later? Will you dump the new god (ok.. the second god) and find another one?

How many gods are there?

It seems like you have to find the right one then stick to him (her) with faith!

35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."[a] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Does THIS sound like he has left you?

There's an old sayin-"If you feel far away from God-Guess who moved?"

You are trying too hard, you don't have to do anything. Just have faith.
He is around, he just doesn't want you to know it.
It's all about trust.
