Is prayer a touchy subject on YA? I got a violation notice simply because I asked if anyone wanted me to pray for them. Any insights would be helpful, but please be respectful. I am.

I just got another violation notice for another question about prayers. I believe someone is targeting me. Misuse of reporting is a violation. Obviously, I touched on a sore spot!

You will get some people on here who will disagree and argue religion till they're blue in the face. I've had answers and posts reported too and some are so pathetic. Like, i said once "i agree" as did so many other in a particular post, i got violated. lol
I believe in the power of prayer all too well, it may take a while to be answered but i believe that time is for me to learn and to learn patience that way, when i am answered, i have a greater appreciation for our Father and the things he does for us.
I think it is a lovely gesture on your part to offer prayer. So many, whether they admit it or not, need prayer for either strength, guidance, both or other.
I don't understand why, if you do not believe in God, you take it upon yourself to say bitter things to those who do believe and report innocent posts and answers. Why, if you don't believe, do you not just leave it at that? And let those how do believe carry on!
Are you that shallow that you feel better about doing this?

Take it lightly hun, spread the love and His word and ignore those who are angry and resentful.

Blessings.

It does nothing, I fact a recent investigation found that those patients in a hospital that were prayed for actually did worse because of the added pressure. So don't waist your time. I got a violation for asking if anyone else were sick of prayer requests, The question didn't even come up. I think it must be a banned subject.... The death of free speech maybe?

I am not a christian nor do i follow any type of religious dogma and I would say that YES! I do believe in the power of prayer. It has been scientifically proven to work on believers in prayer.

Prayer is a touchy subject to some that have fallen from the church and are on dark paths of life. By dark, I mean that go away from the light of life, away from their true paths. Some people feel jaded by their (or your) God and don't want anything to do with such.

You probably got warned by some dumb insubordinant loser.

I absolutely believe that God responds to prayer. This past week He showed me what I must do to help shape a particular outcome.

How, why, when God responds, I have no idea, nor would I try to explain it because if I could explain God, God would be no greater than my understanding.

If there is one thing I know for sure, God is far more magnificent, far greater than anything our human minds can fathom.

I do believe in it and can't understand why you would get a violation order. There are a lot worse things getting asked.

it is a little more complicated than that

I believe in the faithfulness of an all powerful LORD God.

so when I ask, I am sure that he hears me, and because I do my best not to ask what is outside of his will, I see prayers answered.

I don't believe that prayer can change outside influences, so in that respect I don't believe in it's "power." However, I don't believe that it's damaging either. If it makes you feel better, by all means, I'm for it.

That's a weird thing to remove... very strange.

I think prayer could potentially have many benefits.

YA! is not a chatting website. It is for Question and answer. If you do not know something you can ask here, instead of making personal relations.

However, I believe that there is God who listen to us when we pray and He respond to us when He find it suitable for us.

I prefer wishing wells.
They take far less time, less money and they have an equal success rate to prayers.
