You know the incantation "Satan, get theee behind me, in Jesus name" does this ever work?

Why do they want Satan or the demons behind them?
I would much rather have them in front of me where I can keep an eye on what they are doing.
Seeing as they are all in their imagination, I guess out of sight is out of mind, so maybe they just disappear when they get sent out of view!

yes. it works...the demons with their schemes get behind you when you proclaim the name of Jesus. And once again you have a clear path to righteousness. The demons are no longer an obstacle in your path because they have stayed behind.

Yep ,Satan does get behind me all the time. When tempted to sin I say "get thee behind me Satan!" And he flees from me, and I therefore resist temptation to sin.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
