I do. I agree with everything you say, and it's probably going to get us both thrown off of here.

I can absolutely relate to your frustration (as many of us can) and understand exactly what you mean, but I don't think everything about religion is BS. Following and believing blindly, yes. The holy books, yes - all BS - in the sense of them being absolute truth. However, at the heart of many religions are good intentions. True, most of that is lost on present day religious folks -- but not all of them. However, that "heart" I referred to isn't solely a religious thing. It's a human thing. Kindness, acceptance, tolerance and love seem to be far from actual religious practices nowadays and I often see these attributes more in non-religious people which is why religions claiming you can't be these things without their god infuriates me. Ignorance shouldn't be an excuse to spew such nonsense, but it is.

I personally don't follow any religion. I do think it's sad when people have such little faith in their own abilities that they have to look to an invisible sky pixie to support them on some emotional level.
What they don't realize is they could accomplish the exact same goals with just a fragment of faith in themselves that they put into the supernatural...
That's just my take on the whole thing....

That's what religion is. Not believing with your eyes, but with your heart. It's fine if you choose not to believe in religion. Whatever. But it's not nice to criticize people who do. We're happy the way we are. You're happy the way you are. We just stay away from the topic of religion, and it's all good, right?
I'd rather live like there was a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live like there isn't a God and die to find out there is.
Bring on the thumbs down people, just because I disagree with you. I can take it, it won't change anything.

Everyone needs something more than themself to believe in, something greater, lest we lose all humility and become ego-maniacs.
People have taken that need to great lengths with religion. I like having the belief as an assist, not using it for my own exclusive benefit, but to help others grow.
Maybe the concept lies in the need for people who need people, something to have in common.
Take out of the God theory what you like and put it to good use. Remember, the teachings can be helpful in navigating life.

Stop generalizing. All religion is not evil. It's not my fault you keep pursuing the wrong religion.
