why do christians feel the need to make him the king of darkness, the ruler of hell....dont you think that's a big far fetched.

why is it in the bible, that there are NO verses, NOT one (please show me if i'm wrong) that clearly gives an example of Satan being SINFUL. he was banished but for what? doing what we humans do every day. even christians. we are vain, selfish etc. but i noticed that even in the story of Eve in the Garden of Eden he never sinned. EVE DID! why is he to be feared and why do christians believe he is the Ruler of Darkness? don't you think that's a bit over the top?
i've been a christian all my life, but have rediscoverd the truth about the said Bible and what MAN has ommitted from the collection of books. my belief that Jesus is the son of God doesnt stop me from believing that the church is based on lies, ommissions & repression of women and the poor.

I'm not a Christian, so probably not fully qualified to answer this. However it seems that despite being officially condemned, a sort of unconscious dualist influence persists in some Christians. Dualism, the idea that there is a powerful evil force that is at odds with the good force, is at odds with the idea of an omnipotent God, but also helps explain certain conditions of the world, such as the ubiquity of evil. Throughout its early history, the Christian church had to contend with dualist heresies. These certainly do seem to conflict with the Biblical conception of Satan, especially as presented the book of Job. Here, Satan is more like God's prosecutor, testing the faithful but obviously subservient and kept on a short leash. Even within the Bible, the presentation of Satan and the extent of his power is not exactly consistent. I'd venture that there were several historical threads coming together to give the present conception of Satan, which has evolved over time. Formerly regarded as much more of a real "adversary", Satan seems to have become more of a metaphor for human weakness. I think fewer Christians nowadays insist on his personal "prince of darkness" status, but I could be wrong.

Sorry but it is the bible that says he is the God of this world (2 Corithians 4:4 and 1 John 5:19)

and in Genesis 2 he said a lie, so he is a liar.

All are judged based on the level of revelation given. Paul was a murderer of Christians, but this he did in ignorance until the revelation of Yeshua knocked him off his high horse.
Satan, on the other hand, not only knew and experienced God, but he was one of the anointed Cherubim that overshadowed the throne of the most high. With great revelation comes great consequence.

Now I don't know what you mean by saying that you "have rediscoverd the truth about the said Bible and what MAN has ommitted from the collection of books." In this you are totally off track. You think you know everything, but you know nothing at all, and such a statement gives testimony to this.

We didn't "make" satan out to be anything but what he is. He is the "father of lies"
Don't you believe God's Holy Word? The Bible tells about satan, and how he deceives, and how he is the enemy, and how he roams to and fro on the earth like a hungry lion waiting to devour. I don't think we read the same Bible, or you don't read it at all. I suggest you do!! There is good, and there is evil.
You say the church is based on lies. What church do you follow?? I follow Jesus Christ, and am a believer, that makes me part of the church. His church are all true believers. What do you think it is? He will be back for His Church, the Bride of Christ. I hope you are ready when He comes. Please start reading!!!!!! God Bless

In the Garden of Eden, Satan lied to Eve in order to convince her to sin. You don't think that's a sin? Leading an innocent person into sin is certainly a sin. This seems to be Satan's occupation in the world.

Satan disobey God, he felt he was better than God. He caused Eve to disobey God,he goes by many names in the Bible by the way his original name is Lucifer. Jesus saw him fall like lightening when he was kicked out of heaven, because he blinds you from seeing who he really is ,that is why he is called the prince of darkness

Here are Jesus' own words concerning Satan...

John 8:44 (King James Version)
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

I would say Jesus is describing someone who is sinful.

The word 'satan' is the Hebrew transliteration of the word 'adversary.' Therefore, Satan is the one who opposes God. Satan, is the most powerful of the fallen angels. Satan, also known as Lucifer and the Devil, is said to be the one who entered the Garden of Eden and convinced Eve to disobey God. There is debate among scholars regarding the time of the fall of Satan. Some say that he fell when he moved Eve to disobey God. Others state that Satan fell sometime before that and merely manifested his adversarial nature in the Garden. Still others say that there was a great battle in heaven long before the Garden of Eden and that Satan took one third of the angels with him.

"And another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems.4And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth . . . " (Rev. 12:3-4).

Of course, the first mention of the devil is found in the Garden of Eden, but it isn't until the post-exilic period (538 B.C.) that the figure of Satan is more prominently displayed: Job 1-2 Zech. 3:1-2; and 1 Chron. 21:1.1
Satan is mentioned in the gospels many times:

Matt. 4:1, "Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil."
Mark 3:23, "And He called them to Himself and began speaking to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 'And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.'"
John 13:2, "And during supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Him."
The motive for Satan's rebellion may very well be found in the following verses.

"How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! 13"But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 14‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’" (Isaiah 14:12-14).

In the future, there will be a judgment where the devil will be cast out :

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him" (Rev. 12:9).

Um Christians do not make Satan the ruler of hell, I think you probably listened to one Christian then you decided to label it christian's According to the bible Satan is Just a fallen Angel he was the smartest most beautiful/powerful of all Angels. and he fell and his punishment is that his spirit is to dwell the earth until jesus comes and condemns him to hell. but Satan's powerfully influence has given him the ability to be ruler of this world. His Influence is Sin, the bible speaks of Satan as the father of Sin. like Jesus said he is the father of all lies.
