I want to be baptized soon but I have things to work on..like commenting and getting more service done, etc.
There is a scripture that says anyone who is not born again(meaning baptized) will not enter the Kingdom. Baptism is DEFINATLY one of my goals in the future but...what if Armaggedon comes before I become baptized? Will I be destroyed?
I'm kinda scared about that.
Thank you.

I haven't seen a shadow of any. Now that they are asleep shouldn't we talk nasty to madden them when they arise. After all waking up is the only kind of "rising again" they'll experience.

I'm a Catholic Christian but I hate the label of Catholic just like I hate the label of Protestant. I see us all as Christians. Am I on an island by myself or are there any others who feel like I do?

If you wish to understand something totally, you must first put yourself in it's shoes. I found a pair of shoes that I think the Christian god would like; comfortable, sexy, and they have a button that shoots a green beam of light at virgins, instantly impregnating them.

Is it even more delightful than paradise, with its transparent, 180" virgins (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071021175958AAVQgQa&pa=FYd1D2bwHTHwLblmFe48SEz_mccWqi4dhzmIgy3q.IdXIg--&paid=asked&msgr_status=)?

Muslim:C29B20N4635 "The Prophet said: ‘Nobody who enters Paradise wants return even if he were offered everything on the surface of the earth except the martyr who will desire to return and be killed ten times for the sake of the great honor that has been bestowed upon him.'"

Bukhari:V4B52N216 "Allah's Apostle said, ‘Were it not for fear it would be difficult for my followers, I would not have remained behind any army units. But I don't have riding camels and have no other means of conveyance. No doubt I wish I could fight in Allah's Cause and be martyred and come to life to be martyred again.'"

Obviously this is a bit tongue-in-cheek. I'm Agnostic and my husband is perched on the Agnostic/Atheist fence. I work for a Protestant church.

The kids are 3 and 4.

Did you know that 73 out of 74 times in the New Testament, the NWT correctly places a break -such as comma - immediately after the phrase, " Truly, I tell you " ?

To be consistent, don't you think Luke 23:43 should be translated, " Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise?

Luke 23:43 is the ONLY occurance of this phrase in which the NWT does not place a break after it. Guess why. Because if break - such as comma - was placed after " Truly, I say to you," the word "today" would then belong to the 2nd half of the sentence, indicating that " today" the thief would be with Jesus in Paradise. But this would go against Watchtower theology and it would not fit their doctrines. The relocated comma is forced into a part of the sentence that changes entirely the intended meaning of Jesus' words.

I am fed up with with the Jehovah Witness's
Ramming down my throat, all about what it says in Leviticus. The dead know nothing and now it is begining to annoy me, the dead know everything that is going on. Their spirit is alive, only their old body is buried. And we will all meet up again with our loved ones.

...and maybe Jesuits. But the term is hardly ever applied to American clergy of any denomination. We may think of individual pastors or priests as being very righteous, even holy, but we don't apply the term "holy man" to the Protestant or Catholic clergy in general. I have my own ideas about why this is, but I'm curious to see what others think. A pastor I know posed this question to his religion class once - he was very indignant that no one thinks of preachers as holy men!

Jesus speaking to a crowd of people along with his disciples:

Mat 16:28 I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

Jesus speaking to his disciples just prior to sending them out to preach the good news:

Mat 10:23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

Jesus instructing his disciples privately on the Mount of Olives on when the end will come and when he himself will return:

Mat 24:34 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

All of them will look alike and will be sixty cubits (180 feet) tall.'"
