I believe in God because it was forced upon me. My parents are Lutheran so I grew up in a Lutheran Church. It was not my choice, but now it is my lifestyle. For those of you who chose to believe in God, my question to you is why?

You know sunday school without you having to be there? I was told I had to attend the service and policy was not to leave. When I was a child we were picked up by a church bus and sent to sunday school ..We left to me this all boiled down to money. and I was pissed I was only doing what the Lord wants me to do educate my child ..looking for another church

when you all know there will never be a answer good enough for you. Even if God came down and slaped you up side the head. So why keep asking when you are so sure there isn't. There has been so many questions asked like this.

In the qualifications for a bishop, or pastor, in 1 Timothy 3, one of the qualifications is that he be the "husband of one wife". Do you think this is talking about divorce?

Matthew 17:14-21 Jesus casts out the demons.
1Samuel 28:1-24 King Saul has a medium to call up a spirit.
I know from my personal encounters with demons that they are still on the earth. We all know that there was demons in the Bible times. Some one tell me why people doubt they are here now. What changed to make people think they went away or never existed?

Barna, the Christian polster, has suggested that, since most youth & young adults know gay people that do not behave as the Church has protrayed them, the young folks may be questioning all of the teachings of the church.

Is this happening in your own experience?

I'm not Catholic but went to mass today, some churches offer open communion so that all may come closer to God.

Why is it that in Catholic churches a child of God is not deemed worthy if they don't hold membership to a special club?

well, for one thing, these Bible-fundies haven't proven that fact to be untrue. they always go around protesting with everything Catholics do.

it's hilarious to think that that's how they spend their lives, always protesting. no wonder they're all bitter with hatred and ignorance, and not to mention, arrogance.

I have seen many healings as well as having been healed myself. instances where the doctors have not even done anything yet. just diagnose it and have not treated it for the most part.

I have 2 friends who were healed of epilepsy. they were both being treated and then God healed them. They have both been seizure and med free for years now.

3 friends who have been healed of Breast cancer. one scan the mass was there, next scan it was gone. Doctors baffled.

I was healed of carpel tunnel. It was there, Pastor laid hands on my arm, and prayed over it. i felt this weired warm feeling and then the pain was gone. it has not come back and it has been 6 months since I was healed.

this is just some of the examples. I would love to hear other peoples stories.

he divorced his wife many years ago. Over the years he has met one, maybe two women he would have liked to marry. But he did not remarry because it is, or was up until recently, a sin in the Catholic religion. NOW, the Cardinals have changed their view and say remarriage is okay. But now he is old and he resents this change very much. He could have remarried all along.
Does anyone else have similar resentments about this?

Because if you do you're in for something =) I do alot of things i shouldn't including stealing (for saftey purposes *I dont steal anymore*) and i'm not even going to name the rest... I found $450 on the road a few months ago about 3 years ago i found $40 (two $20 bills wrapped together) and I was given a free Nintendo Wii off a website. So i definately think the phrase "what goes around comes around" isn't true (which is also why shhh.. i don't donate to charities) haha well i'm not that much of an @$$ i did donate 10$ towards breast cancer so far =)

I am curious. Conservative people and right wingers like Ann Coulter claim God hates gays. Is this admitting that God is not perfect and made a mistake by creating gay people? Since according to them God crated everything and they deny evolution. Or is it saying that God created them fine but they choose to engage in perverted acts (according to them) that gays don't really enjoy just to piss God and conservative ultra religious people off. So gays torture themselves by having gay sex but what they really crave is straight sex? They could not possibly be gay and crave gay sex since God don’t make mistakes. Which is it? They (Conservative right wingers) confuse me.
