When I was in CNA training, we had a little fun when we thanked our teachers at the end of the class. We bought some flowers and presented them in a bedpan. ;-) I'm not sure I'd have the guts to put that out on the porch but I bet you'll get a lot of laughs out of it. I suppose it would be a great conversation-starter as well. As to whether or not it would be a sin? Anytime I do, say or even think something that is displeasing to God, I'm sinning. I don't think it's wrong to have fun, as long as my actions are in line with how God wants me to be. If you think it's going to cause problems (perhaps with neighbors?), it's probably better to flush the idea. Otherwise - have fun! :o)

If you were my neighbor that would definitely be a sin. If you weren't my neighbor,.. not so much. In fact that would be freaking hilarious. I might even cruise your neighborhood when I needed a giggle.

I encourage you to go for the full effect. Let the grass grow and park some broken down cars in the front yard.

It's probably better than using the flower pot for a toilet bowl on your front porch. Don't ya think?

Only if you still use it for a toilet bowl with the flowers in it on the porch.

Dont plant taters in the toilet them things got eyes ya know!

In the south its typical in trailor parks and redneck neighborhoods, if you live in an area with covenants I DARE you to go ahead and put one right out by the mail box & while your at that, go ahead and take some old tires and put them around trees and plant flowers in those too. Also, you can take old toilet seats and play horse shoes with them. neighborhoods with covenants LOVE lots of beer can wind chimes all around too! Make some for the neighbors.
YUP I LIVE MY LIFE IN THE SOUTH !

It's probably against city ordinance. If you're neighbor is greatly offended by it and that's why you put it there, then it's a sin....if the neighbor doesn't mind, no sin.

If the neighbor is offended because you are breathing, you're not sinning...because it is a NEED..LOL

Yes, because of the aesthetic damages to the environment.

If you live in Tennessee or Georgia, it's de rigueur. Of course, the flowers are optional.
