well, for one thing, these Bible-fundies haven't proven that fact to be untrue. they always go around protesting with everything Catholics do.

it's hilarious to think that that's how they spend their lives, always protesting. no wonder they're all bitter with hatred and ignorance, and not to mention, arrogance.

"Fundies" are typically brought up believing that the Catholic church cannot possibly be the authentic church of Christ, because that would mean the fundies church would be less than authentic.

This is of course, a false tradition ... for a number of reasons.

Fundies claim that they do not recognize tradition ... when what they really mean is they don't recognize "Catholic" tradition ... but they fail to make this important distinction public ... mainly because the authentic history of the church and of the whole world ... flies in the face of the fundies traditional beliefs ... and proves them to be lies.

This leads them to try (unsuccessfully) to rewrite history.

The myth of Constantine and of the supposed "paganizing" of the church is probably the best example ... when just the opposite is true.

History duly records that the Catholic church first CONVERTED Constantine ... and then the Catholic church went on to CONVERT most of the PAGAN WORLD to the authentic Christian faith, a thousand years before the first protestant ever thumped a bible.

Pagans became Christian. Christians did not become pagans.

In fact, nobody ever came up with that pagan nonsense idea until a few rabid anti-catholics dreamed it up in the mid 18th century, for the very first time.

Attempting to gain some sort of legitmacy ... fundies set up Israel as their spiritual homeland ... but doing so they aligned themselves with those who reject Jesus Christ and with those who continue to persecute Christians to this very day ... which is totally irrational ... and they actually expect God to rapture all Christians up and away ... leaving the largely apostate and atheistic Jews in charge here on earth.

Why would God ever want to do such a thing ... especially after he established one, holy, universal and apostolic Christian church ... for the purpose of our salvation ... which he died for ... and which he personally guaranteed would last until the end of time ... (not 7 years PRIOR to the end of time)?

All of this goes to prove that the bible really does NOT define itself ... that the doctrine of "scripture alone" is not only false, but pointless ... and that the authentic Catholic church remains as the ONLY church with Jesus as it's head, and with the Holy Spirit as it's official guide, and arbiter of all divine truth.

i do no longer understand what fundies are... under no circumstances heard of the term. Oh, i assume you propose fundamentalists. properly, I do get excitement from the actual shown fact that the unique Gospel continues to be study in Catholic church homes... it somewhat is a good ingredient. even in spite of the incontrovertible fact that i'm afraid that all and sundry Christians have a bent to need the Pauline Gospel over the unique Kingdom Gospel. there's a distinction you realize.

Well, ok, but um... what about a Fundie who used to BE Catholic, taught in Catholic schools (ultra conservative ones, too) and pretty much does know what the Catholic church teaches?

Nevertheless, I stand up for Catholics as Christians and I fight anti-Catholic bigotry whenever I can.

I totally agree with you. If a fundamentalist believes he has the right faith why bother about the faith of others? Their crap reply is "I love you and I don't want you to go to hell." Which to me is just a lame excuse for bashing Catholics. It also shows they are insecure about their own faith. Catholics do not question the beliefs of others because they know they belong to the true Church.

I often stand up for the Catholic church and am glad at certain things they do. I don't despise them.

Wow! You appear to really hate those of us who revere God's Word!

When I was in church this morning, I sure didn't notice anyone mentioning protesting against the Catholics. In fact, it was a wonderful, joy-filled service.

Your generalization certainly shows hatred, dear one. I hope there are lots of people praying for you.

God bless!

Tango you are tangled !!!
I for one think the Pope did a marvelous thing by
writing a book that tried to show that Jews were not christ killers because of faulty interpretation of the bible !!! Also next year he is going to create a commission to change any catholic books that would suggest such !!! I for one applaude the Pope !!! That probably did not change your mindset, but I thought I would try anyway !!! By the way the name of the book is JESUS THE NAZARENE !!!

Rom 5:8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
[1John 1:8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[1John 1:9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[Rom 10:9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[Rom 10:10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[Mat 10:32] Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven

iF YOU HAVE TOLD A MINISTER THAT YOU HAVE DONE THE ABOVE YOU ARE NOW READY TO ATTEND ANY CHURCH THAT LOVES JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOUR !!! GOD BLESS YOU IN YOUR QUEST TO KNOW GOD !!!
