Jesus is the head of the church and He sets up church governments, they decide how to run the church. However man is not perfect, and makes mistakes. if such mistakes bother you, you must ask God to help your emotions and then seek another church.

Well honey, if I were to be a parent, I will still send my child to the Sunday School and tell the prist or pastor to give me a ring when over as my job scope seeks irregularities at times though. Furthermore, if prist or pastors do carry handphone and drive, I don't see the need of not having private buses to take the children to the Sunday school though.

Furthermore, it's only Sunday, so what's up with those guys anyway? Gees.....

Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)

You cant blame the church for wanting to protect themselves from sue happy people.

Kids go to sunday school while the parents are in their sunday school classes at the same time in mormon churches. But if you had to leave for some reason you could always ask someone else to take your child home.

I dont really understand why you are mad at the church for requiring parents to be there. Maybe they had some issues with unruly kids and obnoxious parents in the past.

I know many churches that allow children to come without an adult. But most of the children that do come without an adult are children of unsaved parents.

I am wondering why if you are wanting to educate your child in the ways of the Lord you aren't there with him? We are to be the teachers and role models for our children. How can they take church seriously if you aren't committed to it yourself. I do understand that sometimes we have to work, or have other children at home, and would want the ones that are able to be there to attend.

I also wonder that you are p****d. Angry at your church, again isn't setting a good role model. Did you talk to them, and find out if they have this policy because of protection for children?

It depends on the church. My church runs a bus for the kids whose parents don't attend. We have about 50 children who come to Sunday School and Church that way.

You say you were doing what the Lord wants you to do to educate your child . . . you're saying the Lord wants you to drop your child off at church, and you leave the church and go do what? The Lord wants you sitting somewhere else drinking coffee and reading the paper, and not in church?

Perhaps this is a sign the Lord wants you to be in church, TOO.

Godspeed.

My church still does a bus route when we have a volunteer to drive. And we have no problem with parents dropping their kids off for Sunday school. But it really is better for the parents to stay. Parents need God too.

Have you thought that maybe that policy is in place to protect your child? My parents always went to the service and participated in Sunday school. That let me know it was important to them. The church may also not want to be a baby-sitting service.

I've run across many children who are forced to go to church and Sunday school by their parents but I don't think I've met one who enjoys it. I don't think parents should make their kids go to church period. Especially when they are so little. They should be allowed to make that decision when they are older and can understand the implications.

I agree-- never force a kid to go to church, t should be their decision. I was forced into sunday *and* saturday school and I hated it.

If you don't like your church, you're doing a good thing by finding a new one. I wouldn't stay in a church that made you miserable, that's not what church is supposed to be.
