Apathetic Agnosticism - Nobody knows, nobody will ever know, so nobody cares.

Well the faiths that believe in God as the creator, believe that he has just always been... that's why he is God.

Religions that don't believe in God, say that he is a deity created for spiritual purposes... and is not any different than Roman gods.

Those that have no "religion" say that humans created the "idea" of God for their own spiritual purposes.

IF I'm reading your question correctly, I'm assuming you come from a religion that believes he is the creator of heaven and earth... therefore the answer is that he has always just been there.

The Bible says "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was with God."
As the bible is the most ratified document in the world, then I am inclined to believe it!
Those are the first few words of the bible, and they state that God was in the beginning. We as humans cannot truly comprehend this, as we are creations, and all we do is further 'create' that which is around us and tear it down. The idea of being 'there' and 'always there' is not easily answered, but if the bible is correct, which I believe it is, then no one created God. He just was, is, and is to come.
So it is.

God IS the creator, he wasn't created. He existed from all eternity. There was no one formed God,human, animal before God. There is only one God. Our Lord and Saviour. Jesus Christ.Col.1:15 says Jesus is the image(physical)of the invisible God.

As a student of science I know this, nothing is created without reason, and anything not useful is immediately discarded. So what if humans are not actually lame idiots born to do nothing? maybe humans are some kinda feeder tube necessary for gods' survival. Maybe the hierarchical chain isnt linear, like GOD to HUMANS, but is actually circular like HUMANS - GOD - HUMANS.

Himself

God is Eternal and exists infinitely without beginning or end and is not dependent on anything else.

God is the Uncaused Cause of everything

If there were ever absolutely nothing there still would be absolutely nothing.

Only nothing comes from nothing.

Our perception of existence is linear and presumes a start and a finish, and everything we can readily observe supports that fact. However, the existence of God is not controlled by a linear existence, but as quantum physics suggests higher levels of existence are spherical in concept and exhibit no beginnings or ends, only continuum.
