Next they'll have simple dictionary words banned because they don't like the sound of them. I remember working with three feminist women and each had a different word they didn't want/like to hear. As far as I was concerned, they could like it or lump it. Can you imagine a group of people getting together to ban all the words they didn't like?

I would consider the sources here on this issue.

You posted 2 links to 2 very conservative-looking organizations. Why don't you do some independant research into what this bill is? Does it have anything on this bill on a governemental site? Has the govenor given any commentary on why he passed the bill? There may be perfectly good reasoning behind it without the "spin" these sites are trying to put on it. Frankly, I don't know the first thing about this issue or what the big flap is all about. All I'm saying is, if you really want to get a good perspective on something, consider all sides before you make up your mind.

Why do you not actually read SB 777, rather than blindly accepting what the right wing pundits claim about it?

Now, where does it actively promote homosexuality? It just makes it illegal to discriminate against homosexuals.

Where does it ban the words 'Mom' or 'Dad' ?

What does Pro-Family mean? It sounds like a euphemism for people who want to discriminate to me. This is hatred, pure and simple. Gay people can have families, too. Why should they be discriminated against because their family is different? I'm all for SB 777, even though I don't live in California. I'm all for anything that stops discrimination.

I believe in only the words that Jesus spoke, I put no trust in Moses, nor the prophets, nor Peter, nor Paul. I believe in only the testimony of Jesus, and that of His witness John. Therefore I am not a follower or disciple of any other.
