Here’s one.
"They will fall by the edge of the sword and be taken as captives to all the Gentiles; and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." – Luke 21,24

Jerusalem was trampled underfoot, the time of the Gentiles (that’s us) are over and the Jewish people have returned to their homeland.

I know that you can ask for forgiveness for sins so do you ask for forgiveness for things that were sins back in the day but are now commonplace? In the Bible there is a lot of writing about women being submissive and not have authority over men and can not be teachers, would a woman boss ask for forgiveness or a female teacher? If these parts aren't being followed 'religiously' then why stick to any of it? Who decides what is to be a sin and not a sin anymore? Does the book change with the times?

So after reading that, don't you just reply to them: "See you there then!!!!!!!!" ?

Something is wrong here. The leadership of the Catholic Church (which I am *technically* a part of) goes out of their way to protect pedophile priests, moving them to different parishes, brushing it under the rug, etc., BUT GOD FORBID they fall in love with an adult woman! This priest didn't even have sex with her; he just confessed his love for her. As a Catholic, I'm struggling with this. Heck, this new Pope even made the comment "Boys will be boys" when asked about the crisis in the Catholic Church, as if it was no big deal.

Am I right when I say Heaven is a place and Hell is a state of mind? Angels sound realistic, but fire, demons and a guy with a pitch fork and tail? I am a strong Christian and I have read the Bible on ths stuff. It seems that Hell is more of a state of mind then a place. What do you think? I will choose a best answer!!!!

I'm having a real hard time with spiritual beliefs it's hard for me to believe in god with so much peril in the word and without factual proof. I'm trying hard to find something to believe in, but the bible just seems to be fictional stories believed by uneducated unsofisticated people two thousand years ago.

Now Im not saying that it's all a lie (not sure) but it is a perfect way to control people. What better way can you control a society without any physical threat at all? At the same time, how else can you rally your people into doing something productive? All Im saying is that religion is effing genius and Humanity wouldnt survive without it. Although, it may be our downfall. Is my logic wrong?

what makes you think that?? i mean...
if there was a god why is this world crap today..? people getting kidnapped raped murdered abused and etc...
Dont tell me that its because they sinned or whatever because if your so called god was so nice to kill himself to save us then why would he kill so many people for nothing you would think he would forgive instead so why...do you believe in him???

Growing up it seems that the tree of Good and Evil contained something that man wasn't suppost to have and it seems so weird not to know good and evil. I was thinking and knowing good and evil seems to be that we gained a conscience. If you think about it, Adam and Eve were not ashamed until they ate from that tree. Their eyes were opened, could that be our conscience?

If they gained a conscience then what would it be like not to have a conscience but to be in a holy state?

I suppose that it would be like knowing a truth and not even thinking other wise. Like a child living in a two parent home with a mom and dad and not even considering that some families don't have a dad. I bet they didn't even consider doing otherwise until the serpent came along.

Suppose their were ten 10 balls with 10 different colors you had to chose among. The balls only differed in their color. Only one color (the blue color) is the color that will save you. If you choose the wrong color you go to hell. So people all over the world get to choose one ball each. Some people chose orange and some yellow and etc. Some never got to see the blue ball so they had to chose from what was available. Then after everyone had finished choosing, Jesus came down and said, "All who chose blue go to heaven, the rest go to hell".

1) the 10 balls represent the different religions in the world.
2) the balls differ only in color because all religions are equally true to the believer of that particular religion.
4) A large number of people around the world has never heard of Jesus.
3) According to Christians, if you choose any other religion but Jesus, you will go to hell.

Christians, this is what you believe!

You can't help but love it. It'd be slightly funnier if they'd misspelled atheist, as they so often do, but it's still pretty awesome.

If that's actually true, as various Christians claim, shouldn't we put Christian churches on the tax rolls and give a tax-free status to atheists instead? The First ammendment to the U.S. Constitution addresses freedom of religion, not "relationships with God", so it seems to me that Christianity really does not deserve these protections.

The main reason I stopped letting my kids go out on Halloween was because of what “line dancer” wrote on the last page and also because I have heard witches or Wicca’s use this day for strong spell casting and such. (I may be wrong I’m not a witch) I’ve heard all about it’s pagan roots and I don’t think you can put a bow on evil and make it something good.
