Obviously the tree of life held no temptation for Adam and Eve, but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil looked inviting. The same is true today.
People think they are seeking after the truth when looking into science and learning, but the real Truth in found in seeking eternal life through Christ Jesus. Once found all the other knowledge falls into place.

The tree of life is Jesus Christ. Think what it means to partake of the good fruit of that tree of life.

Partaking of the fruit of the tree of knowledge represented disobedience, death and sin. But ultimately their goal in partaking was to become "as the Gods". And so they shall eventually.

Both were in the garden along with other trees. God said of every tree of the garden you may freely eat. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die.The tree of life had the power of so renewing man's physical energies that his body, though formed from the dust of the ground and, therefore, naturally mortal, would , by it's continual use, live on forever. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was in fact the tree of death. Which proved to be so after they ate of it. Understand though, that, it wasn't the actual fruit of this tree that caused them to die but was rather their disobedience to God which brought about sin.The reason they had to be kicked out of the garden after they sinned is because sin brought about diseases and sicknesses that would cause their body to die and should they have eaten of the tree of life after they became sick or diseased they would have lived in that state forever.

The tree of life gave everlasting life-the fruits of the spirit. The tree of knowledge was forbidden, but gave the knowledge of good and evil. One cannot have the knowledge of evil and live in the Garden of Eden.

The tree of knowledge is of good AND evil. It's knowing both.
The tree of life is WISDOM...to discern the difference.(Proverbs 3).
Obviously, those who have answered have not eaten from either one.

(two trees) The tree of life was only mentioned once, and a spinning sword on fire kept them away from it and the garden, I suppose if they got to it, it would mean no death. Should have eaten them in different order!

The former would've given Adam and Eve immortality here on earth. The latter was what caused spiritual and physical death. And it was the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.Clearly the fruit was some type of psychotropic drug that tripped them into the spritual realm to receive demonic knowledge. That still takes place these days. Some skip the drugs and induce altered states of consciousness with TM.
