In the New Testament she is mentioned among the women who accompanied Christ and ministered to Him (Luke 8:2-3), where it is also said that seven devils had been cast out of her (Mark 16:9). She is next named as standing at the foot of the cross (Mark 15:40; Matthew 27:56; John 19:25; Luke 23:49). She saw Christ laid in the tomb, and she was the first recorded witness of the Resurrection.

She was Jesus' wife. The Church hated the idea of having a woman being "deity" - like and ordered her to be taken out of the bible. When Christianity was young, the leaders wanted the people to forget about the old Pagan religions so called her a whore and took her important parts out of the bible. She remind people of the old Pagan Goddess. The Church even tried to get most of Mary, Mother of God, out of the bible.

She was NOT the prostitute that washed the feet of Jesus. Anyone who reads the scriptures carefully would know that.
She had money and influence in Jewish society. She financially supported the ministry of Jesus as did many others mentioned in the gospels and Acts. Since it was left to her and a few other women to attend to the final preparation of burial, she was obviously a close friend to Jesus and his mother and siblings.

Mary Magdelene was actually a prostitute who washed Jesus feet with a very expensive perfume and her own tears and then dried them with her hair. Jesus forgave her all her sins and then she became one of his followers. I guess it is in the Bible to show that even someone like her could be forgiven by God and change their ways.

She was the Master's wife. She's "the disciple whom Jesus loved". Read about their marriage in the NT which took place "on the third day" in Cana. And if that's not clear read the scriptures the Catholics decided to leave out of their Roman bible. In short, Mary was just as important as Jesus, if not more so. Her teaching was revolutionary, way ahead of its time.

Mary Magdalene replaced into the female who got here in with the alabaster container and poured on Jesus ft. She began washing His ft along with her tears and the physique spray of the container which replaced into an extremely helpful merchandise at that factor. many of the human beings status there began to assert Lord, in case you knew who this female replaced into, you does no longer enable her close to you. Others have been indignant that she "wasted" the alabaster on the ft of Jesus. yet Jesus mentioned bypass away her on my own. He mentioned that the grasp of the residing house had no longer washed His ft on condition that He have been there. This replaced right into a custom on the time that replaced into courtesy on your customer because of the fact they wore sandals and their ft might get grimy from walking. So once you went to someones residing house, they might get you a bowl of water to bathe your ft. the magnitude of this female is that Christ needs us to be broken before Him like she replaced into. The alabaster container represents the guts of the believer being broken on the ft of Jesus. a young coronary heart is what God needs from us. this variety of brokenness will enable us to cry and weep on the ft of Jesus.
