Once again, I have read numerous posts saying what "Christians" believe and don't believe, and most of them by protestants (who somehow think the name "Christian" is theirs alone). My questions is: How can you say what Christians believe? Here are some simple facts:

The total number of Christians in the world is: 2.1 billion. This is how it breaks down:

1) Catholics: 1.4 billion
2) Eastern Orthodox: 0.3 billion
3) Protestansts (Baptists, Lutherans, etc. etc): 0.4 billion

In light of these statistics, how can a group that represents about 21% percent of Christians say what Christians believe? And, more than that, among themselves they argue endlessly because that 21% is divided into hundreds of "denominations" who all disagree on doctrines. Yet they claim that the Holy Spirit guides them when they read the Scriptures as they argue. The arrogance is stupifying. Again, I really would like to hear someone try to answer this question.

I desperately need to seek advice on what I can do to eliminate my life of evil spirits and witchcraft/brujeria I feel has been placed on me.

In this year I got divorced , got re-married and recently lost my job after being re-married for two months.

What scares me is that my ex-wifes family is from South America and my ex-wife told me when we were married that her mother belives in "white magic", this entire year I have felt as if my ex-wife who is a bitter ***** along with her mother might have me under a spell of some sort inorder to ruin my happiness along with my life. I am scared b/c things keep happening in my life that are bringing me down and hurting my new marriage and I can only think that my ex-wife and her mom have something "spiritually" to do with it.

I know I probably sound crazy but I need to know what should I do? I keep applying for jobs and dont even get call backs, then when I interview for jobs the employers arent impressed by me and I cant explain why

This is what I dont understand. There are simple absolutes in this world right? Not everything is relative. Things exsist like people, trees, water, plants and so on. These are truths that can not be changed because they simply just are and there is no other way to go around it there is only one truth and that is they exsist.
So here is my real question.... What makes God so different than the things He created? (That is if you beleive in a creator) What makes people think that there isnt just one truth for Him as well. A way of life for His creation to live by and walk daily in. Why is that so hard to beileve?

Sometimes, when watching EWTN my wife bows before the TV. But I tell her she should only bow when the Holy Father is on TV. I don't know which is right.

Wouldn't a good religious/spiritual person want to fight the rule of Satan to the death? I believe the fight begins within, we must conquer the evil within us (I.e. greed, hatred & delusion), before we can hope to help others and truely battle evil.

Who's with me? We can win this!

[Caveat: As the sign says above - this is to those folks who believe in multiple gods. So its inclusive of many who describe themselves as Pagans, but exclusive of the Two Great Superpowers of R&S.

So i'd ask the Superpowers of both camps to kindly leave us Third Worlders in our state of peace and overlook this question.]

How would you define a Divinity or something Divine? Are there any characteristics that would make such a thing noticeable?

And what is Divine to you personally?

How are Jewish people oppressed?
My definition of oppressed is not having power or money. The Jews are dissproportionatly in power and are financially successful. Jews are colonialists and were never affected by colonialism like India has been. I as a Muslim Indian know that the Jews are full of _______

Why are atheists here ?I think they are afraid that maybe Jesus just might be real and that maybe they will figure it out if they check out a Christian question. And i also think that their sarcastic answers are just a front. I think they are thinking about praying the sinners prayer and i think they need us as Christians to really pray for their stubbornes that they will be saved and that the power of God will pour out on them like never before. I think they are reaching out but don't know how. keep praying for them God still loves them and we should too so will you help us by telling them of the salvation of God in R & S ?

I have a question on which college I should go to.
It is between a community college of mine or a Christian college.
Let me tell you my situation. I went to my first year of high school and had to switch to independent study because I fell so far behind. The last three years I have not been going to public school. Result is I lost the friends I had and I am a little different now. I used to be ougoing and known as the funny guy. Now I think because I have been away from kids my age for so long that I am not outgoing or very funny. I guess you can say I am rusty. Anyway I really want to grow closer to God and meet some good Christians friends to have fun with and live life with. I thought thats where Christian college came in.
The other side of the coin. I want to become a BMW Mechanic and to do that I will have to go to community college and then to BMW program and no time for Christian College.
People who have gone to Christian college let me know. Also tell which ones are great!

i just started looking in the religion and spirituality section of YA and i am shocked at how people trash Christians and everything they believe in. Its one thing to disagree with them but its another to be disrespectful. Does anyone have a reason to justify this?
