and stellar evolution and planetary evolution occured, followed by the evolution of sapient life on this planet--and God knew when he initiated the big bang how it was going to turn out--isn't this just another elegant way to create man. Isn't the issue really the literal view of the bible vs the allegorical view. If God initiated the big bang--then there is no conflict between science and religion at all. Just a thot--thanks.

PADUA, Italy - An Italian priest who publicly declared his love for a woman has lost his job, the diocese said Tuesday.

The Rev. Sante Sguotti can no longer work as pastor in his Monterosso parish and cannot hear confessions from the faithful, the diocese of Padua said in a statement. Sguotti remains a priest and can celebrate Mass, however.

Sguotti made headlines in August when he went on national television to say he was in love with a woman and wanted to be her boyfriend publicly while remaining chaste.

some time to a woman and had asked for a dispensation to go out with her."

Men in the Eastern rite of the Catholic church who are married can become priests, and the Vatican has accepted into the priesthood some married Anglican priests who converted to Catholicism.

But the Vatican has constantly refused to relax the celibacy requirement for Latin rite priests.
Should Priests be allowed to Marry? I say yes.

move on because trying to correct everything that is wrong (in your opinion) with the question would require a 5,000 word treatise?

Mine is: the questions that are so full of fundamentalist superstition and calvinism (if a pygmie in deepest Africa dies never having heard the name Jesus, too bad: he's roasting in hell) that untangling it all would take hours.

I sorta feel like those surgeons who are presented with a sick person, open him or her up, then find so much cancer, they just close them back up and send them home with good drugs and a prayer.

What are the questions like that for you?

I am leading a debate in class tommorow about creationism being taught in schools. I am on the opposing side and feel very strongly about it. I know what I am going to say and everything but I would like to hear some other points, in case there's something I missed. I don't want to hear anything about why creationism SHOULD be taught in schools, so Christians don't waste my time or yours.

Did Jesus tell the woman at the well to go and try not to sin quite as much as she had been? If you have the universal creative force within your being, you would think that you would be invincible to any adversary. Temptation should make you laugh.

you know cause it talks about committing virtually every sin known to man(killing, stealing, fornication, cheating, etc)

not that its the only genre that does this, but the one that pretty much does it the most or about the most sins

My friend recently told me she is having a relationship with another girl. I knew what was happening or knew it was going to happen (acting differently lately), but it shock that hell out of me (didn't want to believe it). She told me that they kissed (tongue), have exchanged rings (married) and touched each other. I don't know what to do, I tried to talk to her, and tell her it's wrong and sinful. She says a sin is a sin, why is it any different, that we all do is sin. She said that's it just kissing (not lesbian) and it's better then being with a guy that could get you pregnant and their not going to be doing anything (well, she has mixed messages). I told her it could lead to other things (her "friend" has done EVERYTHING, (heavy) drugs, steals, she's sucidal, cuts herself, sex, bi, "toys", rehab many times...etc.). I don't know what to do, I care a lot because she been having a hard time in her life and I don't want it to go down the drain and she's depressed. Please help, any?!

So what about this posters?
TEL AVIV, Israel, Oct. 4 (UPI) — An Israeli scientist said ancient documents suggest a major earthquake triggered by the Dead Sea Fault is long overdue in the Middle East.

“For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.”
—Eze 38:20
According to scientists, all hot spots – Sumatra. Yellowstone and many others are showing signs of disturbance – even harmonic tremors.

According to some, we are really sitting in front of a series of very catastrophic series of earthquakes all over the world.

If we have to live with people hurling accusations at each other - well...why aren't they more specific about it?

I am referring to the Ultra-Agressive portions of the two great superpowers of R&S - who both claim logic and reason being on their side.

More often than not - both slices of each group make outlandish claims about the other and care not about making any sort of distinctions whatsoever.

Every Christian is an idiot, every Atheist is Immoral. Blah blah blah. When did (not)believing in something make you anti- ___? That doesn't even logically follow.

Do you of the radical Christians really believe in some sort of bizzare atheist conspiracy against your God? Do you think all of them cackle gleefully at you downfall?

Do you aggressive atheists honestly believe that all Christians are at the root/source of strife and evil in the world? I mean - even the Coptic monk out in the middle of the desert?

I would like to think you all can grasp nuances.

Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

I think Thomas the apostle said it all there

thanks

You can't claim the NWT as the only bible that is unadulterated

it was written in the 1950's

new world is short for new world order

where the pope will establish himself as the antichrist, and cause all to worship on sunday, that is his mark, god's mark is saturday, which is why he tells us to remember his sabbaths as these will be a sign between him and us

and in revelations he asks for those that have that sign on their forheads to be caught up with him

You remeber with your head, and do work with your hands, which is why he asks us to do no work on that day

The mark of the beast is received on your hand or your head, depending if you think like the beast or are forced into follwing him through fear
