That is a question that every human asks at every level.
We question if our parents love for us when we are being scolded because we have chosen a particular style of clothing that we feel defines us.
We question our spouses love for us when they are angry or distant because we have a habit of talking during a football game or neglect to cuddle at night. That is who each is.
We question our children's love when they are doing things that they have been told are bad such as doing drugs and getting thrown in juvenile detention.
So, why wouldn't we question God's love for us when we need to have faith in someone/something that we cannot even see. It is perfectly normal.
I have complete faith in God and still question His decisions for me. Be honest with yourself. You do, too. I am human but forgiven.

People really don't know!
It is like when you first came into His saving power, you had questions and wanted answers, right? Well, give them a break. We' re to encourage ,minister, rebuke and be ready to answer questions (1Tim 4:11-16). They are searching for the truth and we as people of God are to give it to them!
2Tim 2:15 says for us to study and show ourselves approved unto God. A workman that need not be ashamed; but rightly dividing the Word of Truth. Many have to take baby steps (milk of the Word) until they can eat the meat for themselves.
