how does this differ from your constant "end of times" preaching?

is the only difference that you dont give an exact date, that way if your wrong u can still claim "its in the future" ?

makes me think of the boy who cried wolf, or chicken little...

julia ur more then welcome to research it, but essentially its for a denomination of christianity that claimed the world was ending, and their "leader" gave out a date of the end of the world/jesus' return. so all the followers sold their posessions prior to, awaiting for this day, and when it came to pass, they realized they had just lost everything.

basically another instance of christianity playing the boy who cried wolf.

I don't know what "the great disappointment" is, maybe you could give more information about it.

Unless you're specifically directing this question to someone called crimsonandclover (who seems to already know what it is) and don't want the rest of us to respond.

The bible is clear that NOBODY knows when the hour will come that Jesus returns. But we do know he will come back the same way He went up, as the Bible says. And we do know it WILL happen, we just do not know when...could be tomorrow, could be 20 years from now, or 80 years from now ( but I hope not!) I hope it's sooner than it is later....

So I say "Maranatha!"

I agree with CC (for once!) Crimson is harmless - there are users far more deserving of negative attention than her.

Christian, Jews, Muslims, True Believers...you're asking all the right questions to all the wrong people. God has ALL the answers and HE does answer.
