Paganism is a religion, the worship of Gods and Goddesses in whatever form. Witchcraft, however, is a craft. No worship need be involved to work a craft. Not all Pagans are witches and not all witches are Pagan (although it generally works in this way). You can be a witch and be of no religion - I was that way for quite awhile. Religion is not needed to practice Magick and Magick is not needed to worship. These terms are two separated descriptors.

Pagan and Witch measure two different things.

Many Pagans are not Witches.
Some Witches are not Pagans.

NOT all Witches are Pagan because not all Witches are Wiccan.

Wicca is one of what are called "Pagan" religions, but not all Pagans are Wiccans OR Witches.

"Magic(k)" is not part of Hellenic Reconstructionism, although I would say that there are potentially "Greek Witches" out there.

No.

Look at it this way. Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, and so on are all considered under the umbrella of "Christian".

Witch, Wiccan (there is a difference between what is called a Traditional Witch and Wiccan), Druid, and so on are under the umbrella of "Pagan".

Soooo, witches are pagans. But not all pagans are witches. It would be like saying all Christians are Baptist...they simple aren't.

Some are. Some aren't.

In general, reconstructionists (Asatru, Hellenic, Druids, etc.) are not witches. Wiccans and other new agers may be witches. But not all witches are Wiccan or new age.

I'm Pagan, and a witch, but not Wiccan or reconstructionist. Some witches aren't Pagan, I know a few Christians who are witches. (And don't ask me how they can justify that, given their religion. I don't know.)

depends on how you look at it. what is a witch to you? someone who performs magic? if that's the case then almost all religion are led by witches.

maybe a good question would be: are witches (or those who belong to the wican religion) bad? the answer is N-O. in the old days they were the wizards who cured people's illnesses. they were and still are wise and intelligent, they saw and knew the cruelty of the church, and so they didn't join christianity. and because they didn't join, they were labeled evil. the church defamed their character.

Not necessarily - it depends if they practice witchcraft and particularly try to use magic. Magic is the attempt to exercise influence and control over nature or people. This can usually only be done successfully through demonic powers.
